I have an old style drawstring white Wing sweater (It is not at all like a modern jersey) and then the '97 Starter black jersey. If I told everybody what to get me for Christmas though, I would say: Bruins - Bourque (black) '90s Canucks - Bure (black) Detroit - Hank (home) Detroit - Osgood (red away, '98 SCF patched) Stars - Modano Flames - Fleury Detroit - Kocur/Ciccarelli (either or, white home) Toronto - Gilmour Rags - Richter (blue or the dark Team USA) Yzerman - red Team Canada Blackhawks - Kane And last but not least... Preds - Forsberg (Babypuke yellow) So what do you guys have/want?

When were the last good goaltender prosps Detroit had that we wasted away in the minors? I ask truthfully because I hardly recall any homegrown goalies that showed promise beyond Osgood and Legace. I could be wrong though.

I think $3 is a little on the high side. Draper's cap hit this year is like 2.1 and next year he'll be 1.8 or something. I'd say somewhere around a high 1 max. And I'm not sure what it'd take to get Hossa, but considering he'd be a rental... he's probably a lot more attainable than some would think. It just depends what kind of deal the Thrashers want in return, picks/players or a combination of both.

Titleing Boogard a peacemaker is funny, but it's funny because it's true. It's the perfect word for the intimidation factor he brings. I like it. I'm not sure about trading Franzen for him though. What did Atlanta toss away at the deadline last year? I know their GM got some not so stellar reviews for the end result of the Tkachuk trade and whatever else they dealt for a quick playoff punch.

I don't understand the Cleary pick either. Did you just happen to pick him or is he a purposeful selection? I think he's one of the more consistent players out there. I'd sooner let Samuelsson go (his contract is up after next season and Cleary will probably get a similar figure, $1.2). And I agree with GST on Bryz. The guy has a chance and also, you don't go to Detroit if you want to solidify your rep. He has a good thing with Phoenix.

I am tempted to make that a Downey sign for the Calgary game Tues. And I'm not sure about the team's girlfriends saying their guys smell better because of Downey... but I'm sure they do feel better without the bruises from unchecked crosschecks.
