I could care less who broadcasts the later rounds. I'd just be happy they made it. They could put it on the FOOD channel with play by play from Rachel Ray and I'd still tune in.

My bad. But how many Red Wings playoff games are actually on Versus? Last year it seemed like every weekend game was on NBC and many of the weekday games were on FSN.

St. Louis is 2-6-2 in their last 10. They're playing like they mailed in the rest of the season. But don't get too confident. The season series is tied 3-3.

The Blackhawks, Blues, and Jackets are still bottom feeders, but they are much improved bottom feeders. The Jackets have already surpassed last year's point totals. Chicago has too. The Hawks could finish as much as 20 points higher than last year.

I'd like to see them try to keep him. You can never have too many capable defensemen. But I don't think they can afford him.

The Islanders were done anyways. 11 points out with 8 to play. The only real issue here is that the 67.5 million dollar man could be injury prone.

I don't think anyone expected the second line guys to carry this team and they haven't. Any points by them is a bonus. Franzen's 20 are a gift. Detroit's strength is defense plain and simple. Any other teams in this league have 3 defensemen with more than 30 points? How about 4 players in the top 10 in +/-? They should also win the Jennings barring a major meltdown the last 9 games. Hasek and Osgood are good but not that good.

Helm is a rookie left wing at Grand Rapids. 11 goals and 13 assists in 59 games. 28 pims. He's a grinder but not real big. His biggest asset is his speed.

Different styles? Brodeur prefers smaller pads? I only posted because of the obvious differences between the size of both players previously compared. Someone who is 5'8" is not going to use 36" pads. Someone who is 6'1" will.

Giguere is 6'1", 201 lbs. He's a big guy for a goalie. A couple of you complained that his pads are a lot bigger than retired goalies like Moog and Fuhr. Fuhr was 5'11", 184. Moog was 5'8", 170. That's like comparing apples to oranges.

Nice prediction. The Denver Post is reporting Stastny is out with a groin injury and will not play today. Sakic is out as well, though he might return to the lineup within the next five games.

I picked up 4 tickets for Friday's game at lunch today. By the way, Friday is Library Night. Show your KDL or Grand Rapids library card and upper deck tickets are $5 each. Students can get lowers for $10. It's also $1 beer and $1 dog night. It looks like they also have a web coupon good for $10 lowers or $5 uppers.
