Learning the pro game and coming off an injury that killed his pre-season. The chances of his coming in an lighting the league up were slim before the injury. If year 2 comes and hes still going at 1 pt in 5 games you can be worried.

I disagree there. He is right around 20 pts a season average. Thats not good when your supposed to be an offensive defensive. When you can put up 40+ pts a season as a dman being weak defensively can be overlooked. 20 pts no way. Plain and simple hes just not a good NHL D-man. Like I said in my previous post for where he was drafted he was a major bust.

What its come down to is Kindl is a bust. As a 19 overall pick 8 years into being a pro he cant top being the teams 6-7th dman. I wouldnt be surprised if Kindl was the one Babs wanted gone for XO to be on the team at the start. Kindl has been as bad this year as he was last year. His partners and Howard especially have been playing a lot better so his bonehead mistakes and bad coverage havnt costed the Wings as much as it has. I think the Wings are trying to move him. He doesnt have much value right now but if they continue to let him play that value will continue to go down.

It doesnt matter how bad of a game he played for 55 minutes. If a player has a clear cut chance to score and its between Jurco, Helm, Sheahan, or Nyquist theres to have it then any logical person picks Nyquist. His offensive game is far ahead of all 3 of those players. -

Soo....where did I say anything about Pavel? Please point it out to me. All I insinuated is that a young player with size potential > one more season of Cleary whom is the first forward to the press box. -

Id be surprised if Dats tops 50 games this season. When a player his age starts having different different types of injuries consistently age is catching up with them. Yes Helm and Jurco, whom Gus has three times as many goals as them combined, are gonna bring the offense. -

No offense to you but....F*** Leaf fans -
Cant say that with 100% certainty. You cant develop size but you can develop the rest of your game. The kid might not have been the best option this year but he has improved every year the past 4. Come a season or two down the road he could be that power forward your mentioned. Instead we get Cleary for another 3/4 a season where he will be in the press box most of it with a healthy roster and Jurco who has been downright awful and really needs to be in the AHL working on his game.
-
If Cleary makes that much of a difference off the ice then the better decision before the year would have been to make him a coach. Now Nestrasil may not have been a game changing prospect but he was still a young asset that the Wings lost for completely nothing. Losing young assets for nothing is how you get bad hockey teams. The fact that its being reported that quite a few teams put in a claim show that he was viewed as a good prospect. Put Cleary on waivers and I bet you he clears even if on there for a week.

Lookup AHL Live. Last I looked the sub fee was kind of high.

A guy who should be in the AHL and a guy who has yet to play a professional game are the answer... interesting. A guy who should be in the AHL and a guy who has yet to play a professional game are the answer... interesting. -
Nashville can still gain something from the deal if he develops more. Detroit has nothing from the deal. Trade Win: Nashville.
-
Well if you want to be picky they only really have 1.5 offensive lines lol
-
The team was living off the PK as well early on. Now that its slipped a bit and teams are getting that extra goal they werent the first month the team is dropping points. The disallowed goal in Buffalo wasnt bad luck. It was just Francine being lazy and not adjusting his positioning.

Agree. Everyone complains about Howards rebound control but Gus is by far worse. He can never catch anything cleanly. Even dumps from center ice bounce out of his glove. His :"spectacular" save on Nash was a direct result of a pretty routine glove save that he couldnt control.
