Of course he is going to say that. The guys is a great team player. Hes not going to say "These guys are terrible and I would benefit from playing with someone other than the worst two forwards on our team this year" no matter how much he may think it.

If Dats continues to be stuck with the likes of Cleary and Abs I hope he goes back to Russia. I feel bad for him getting stuck with those two plugs.

Trying to get them just because of there father is already putting the pressure on them to live up to that instead of being there own player.

Remarkable aggressiveness is fine and dandy. The problem is thats all Abdelkader brings to the table. He brings nothing in the offensive game which is a problem when your getting top 6 spots. Hes a 4th line player at best. Even more the guys on the 4th line are out producing him and showing just as much aggressiveness.

In fairness the Wings only have one "top" line right now. Theres no way any line that includes Cleary and Abdelkader can be considered top.

I have officially given up on Babcock having a sane thought in his head this year. The Wings desperately need a goal today so he puts Dats and Hank together and who does he throw on the wing.....Abdelkader. To make it worse he put this same line out for the PP soon after.

Abby is a 4th line guy at best. Actually our guys on the 4th liners are out producing Abdelkader without playing with Datsyuk. The more Babcock has this terrible line together the more hes pushing Datsyuk back to Russia. I dunno. I think Titus Young might be a better option on the right. Although he might line up on the left sometimes.

The legit shot at the Cup isnt as big an influence the last couple years.

I agree and disagree. I hate the shootout but I hate ties just a little more. The problem with pre 4 on 4 OT and shootouts were that they were useless. Teams played to not lose instead of to win. Most of the time you might as well have not even played the OT. Id rather they play the 4 on 4. If nobody scores go to 3 on 3. Now you figure the time it takes them to scrape the ice and then do the shootout is what maybe 10-15 minutes. Go straight to 3 on 3 and Id put money down on games not lasting more than 3 more minutes. And then it would still have a team aspect winning the game. Not a skills comp.

Bad penalty but that goal is just as much on Quincey. You cant wind up for a full slapper in traffic on the PK. Why should it be illegal? The puck continues to move forward. Howard needs to be more aggressive when he slows like that. Force him to do something without any momentum.

More so the team would have 2-3 more quality chances had he not been lazy

E has been solid this year. Dumb penalty in the moment but its not like hes dumb penalty prone like Cleary.
