I'm sorry to sound like an ass but this will never happen. You might see a woman get in an NHL game again in the pre-season or a promotional stunt the first/last couple games of as season but no woman will make a full time career in the NHL. A GM will never open up there club to the possible distractions and bad press if something happens to her due to the physicality of the NHL game. As stated earlier in this thread it would also create an unfair disadvantage for the opposing players as 98% of the league would play the woman different. In the age where everything is captured on video nobody wants to be that guy on tape decking a woman or crushing her in the corners. If some woman were able to prove me wrong someday and prove that they can keep up with the physical play I would be 100% behind them and the accomplishment. The problem is the league would never open up the chance to have a video of Pronger elbowing a woman in the face all over the news. It would be bad business.

Parking really isn't an issue. What I always do is get off the highway and go directly into the Greektown Casino parking garage and take the people mover. After the game it clears out on the mover pretty quickly and once you get back to your vehicle its cake to be back on the highway. That all depends on where your coming from though.

I havnt either but I pretty much say the best female players were in the Olympics so I base my assessment off that.

The only issue I have with the "its just one game" theory is that the just one games have outnumbered the solid games 4 to 1 this season. Ozzie has only been able to put together 3-4 solid game streaks 2 or 3 times the whole season.

Or 200 supporters wait for him outside the stadium. If the calls bad enough maybe beat him down right then at midfield.

How many points does a fight get? Hocke players win games. Not goons. Its sad that some wings fans just have to find something to ***** about with the team when its rolling through another season. Its especially sad when its something as mundane as fighting when come playoff time means nothing.

Great idea. I did something similar with my soccer jersey when I was a kid. I had a big bullseye put on all my jerseys on the chest. The theory being the mind is trained to see a bullseye and to think "hit the middle". I dont think it really mattered much in full outdoor games but it did seemd to have a lot more chest saves playing the indoor game where scrambles in front fo the net are frequent. I thought it looked pretty damn spiffy to.

Not a hockey one but I remember back in 2002. After the US beat Portugal (nobody in the world expected it) in there first game of World Cup 02 I remember the announcer saying something along the lines of "Thyne eyes have see thy glory". No doubt trying to have his own "Do you beleive in miracles?" like call but epically failing. It was so bad that even with all the celebration every that was over stopped trying to understand if he really indeed say that.

If you count points as the only thing to "out performing" someone then yes I guess you can say he is. I look at those stats and think to myself that in a pinch Id take Ericsson over Kindl any day of the week. Just going by the goals they figured into ( by point total ) Kindl has been on the ice for alot more goals for than has Ericcson yet still has been on the ice for 11 more goals against. The 3rd line Dmen in the NHL are not there to be point producers. They are there to shut the other team down and not lose the game for a team. Give me the guy thats keeping the puck outta the net more than the one who may score but is a defensive liability on the back line.

You really don't understand the game then unfortunately. Very rarely is a player just "standing around" in soccer. Mostly that is just when there is a restart in the game (throw ins, free kicks, goal kicks). The rest of the time they are always in some type of motion which 90% of the time is away from the ball. Making runs to open up a defense or to receive a pass. Hockey is more of short bursts for 30-40 seconds at an average of 15-16 minutes a night where soccer is a full game at a little lesser pace spread over a wider area for 90 minutes. Think of it as hockey being a 200m sprinter to where soccer is a marathon runner. And beleive me goalies cannot take there eye off the play. Soccer balls cannot reach speeds of a hockey puck but they come in pretty darn fast towards a goal that is not half covered by a players equipment. On to Leino though. Give the kid a break. Hes coming over to a completely new way of life in the States. Maybe the excitement of the hockey at the start of the season kept him from expeiencing a full culture shock and now maybe its affecting him.
