This reminds me of:

Better they get the sloppy play out with now instead of later.

I was at the game so I didnt hear what any of the analysts were saying but here are my takes: 1. Hudler disappointed. He really got pushed around. 2. Hossa looked very nervous the first two periods but settled down in the third. 3. The only guy I saw skating hard the whole game was Cleary. Unfortunately he had that killer turnover. 4. Franzen tried to be way to much of a finesse player instead of driving to the net and using his size and strength. 5. The top lines need to gel. Its understandable tho that they haven't yet due to injuries in the pre-season. Give them time. 6. Holmer looks to be at his net front best. 7. Hank seemed invisible. 8. The only time the wings played with desperation is when they went down 2 goals. 9. Its one game. If there was to be one game this season where all players would mostly have a down game youd think it would be this one. All the festivities before the puck drop seemed to knock the players out of there usual game day rhythms.

This is the only one we need. GO GET'EM PAV

I wonder if Leino has made the team over Helm or if hes just up because Holmer and Hossa are on the mend and the Wings want a backup offensive player right now. Granted they say they should play Thursday but you never know and if something does come up Leino can step into the offensive void more so than Helm with his style.

Sens' owner convinced of European expansion
GoalieManPat replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
There is no possible way to have a European division. There are just to many games in a short amount of time. The only way you could possibly do it is have the NHL champ and the European champ meet in a playoof. Even they how do you decide home/away. The away will be at a huge disadvantage due to travel. So much expansion is what hurt the league in the first place. -
What part of 75 is closed? I am going to the opening game but rarely get downtown so I did not know of the closures. I usually take 75 south all the way from the Auburn Hills area into the parking garage.

Unless the game is changed I cant see anyone hitting that number.

Ya you can make both games. Its actually less than an hour from Detroit to the Palace. I live 20 miles north of Auburn hills and it take about an hour to get to Detroit. Once you get on the highway you'll be there in no time. As long as it doesn't take a long time to get out of the first game you will be alright. The area around the stadiums isn't bad. It is Detroit and all but as long as you use common sense about where your at you will be fine. As with any big city though its easy to get lost and you could end up in some shifty neighborhoods. Just plan where you want to go or if you have a nav system in your car it'll be a lot easier to get places.

The game isnt being carried by a TV station so I cant see it being streamed. If the cameras aren't on in the arena your not getting it.

And what is it exactly that those two in the fighting department bring over Downey? Neither can come close to him. Mac could back 8 years ago but hes far from making someone think twice about running a skill player and KQ hasn't proven he can throw/take any punches. Why anyone thinks that Mac is a enforcer is beyond me. He is more like a Dallas Drake as a fighter last year. He would drop the gloves but nobody is scared of him. Well unless they dont want a contact high.

The game is completely different from then.

The NHL is proud to announce the Carolina Emo's

Hossa skates with the team, feels right at home...
GoalieManPat replied to Shutemdown's topic in General
Im honestly hoping that Mule has a slow half season. If he puts up 30-35 goals this season then there is no way that the Wings can pay both him and Hossa. If he only puts in say 20 goals then it could be a lot more manageable. The Wings wont be hurting for offense unless they get a slew of injuries so that drop wouldnt hurt the team. Then the Wings can lock him up for say 3-4 years at a manageable price and he breaks out in the playoffs and the following season. -
Please give a warning before wall of texting a thread.

When Yzerman was asked about him being the best player on the wings he would always stop and tell them that Nick was the best player. There that end the attempted hijack. 1. Ovech 2. Lids 3. Z 4. Dats 5. Luongo 6. Cindy

Damn. Reading the thread title got my hopes up that Malts had decided that his time is past and was gonna retire and give up the 18

Based on last seasons results, I disagree.

Every time a wings fan wrongly blames the goalie as the reason the wings lose, god kills a kitten and satan creates an Avs fan. Please stop and save us from more Avs fans.
