I never noticed the footy thread in here. Nice to see the worlds game getting some love. I am a huge soccer fan. More than hockey really. My favorite team without a doubt is the US National Team. Traveled to Germany for the WC last year and was at all 3 games. Got some great pics and videos from it. As for club teams my favorites are Fulham, Everton, Reading, Blackburn, B. Moenchengladbach. Love watchin the Americans in the top leagues. I also like Forrest Green. Never have seen them play but I always play ast them in CM haha. WC Photos WC Vids

SoCal media is really starting to act like SoCal fans. Cheer for whichever team is doing the best at the current moment and claim they are the greatest ever. Then forget about them when they are mediocre. Out there you become fans of whatver team is winning because its "cool" to do so. *Note* Yes I know not all SoCal fans are like this. There are some good one but there many more bandwagoners.

Hmm why is everyone throwing this guy on the 1st and 2nd line out of the gate when he isnt even over here yet? Simple enough is that this guy will start in Grand Rapids or on the 4th line. Pretty much the same way Huds and Flip were handled. If he plays his way up the lineup like those players did though then thats when I expect to see him on the 1st and 2nd line. Certainly not right away though.

I dunno why but I just dont think Bert looks actually happy to be here. I mean hes gonna say he is with the media and such but he just doesnt look like he wants to play within the Wings system

Take a camera. When your gonna throw it make sure everyone around you is standing or get them to stand. Have someone else next to you take pics the whole time. Probably best to do after a goal or during a TV timeout or something. One of those times that play isnt tryed to be immediately resumed. *Note* Try not to throw it DURING the anthem. I was at Game 1 of this series and it got thrown right during the anthem not to far from the singer. Maybe its just me but I think its kinda disrespectful.

I agree that Dats and Zetts need to score more by they are FAR from playing bad. I would be worried if they werent creating chances at all but they are. Sometimes the puck just isnt going to go in. They both have been playing great in there own zone and on the forecheck. How many times has Dats pulled off that sneaky steal the puck from behind in the offensive zone move hes so good at. Dats especially had quite the pep in his step last night.

Lids has been the best Dman throughout. Liljas play has been great tho. He was real bad last year against Edmonton with always being out of position and being outskated. The start of this year I also thought he didnt look to sharp but really picked it up from January on.

Ya Homer is fine. Emailed the NHL Live show this morn before I saw this thread and they said it as just the skate blade and not an injury.

I dunno I seem to remember Scotty celebrating a good amount and rushing to the corner after Stevie scored the slapper against St Louis lol
