I understand Mac is not the player he once was. But the way he's been playing those two could really spark some fire together. And I believe if Mac is reunited with his fellow mates he would stick up for them same as Downey does. Just my thoughts.

Hey guys this is a quick rumor and I know its from the idiot eklund. But here it is. What to do in Tampa? It is all slowly boiling over in Tampa. They are a one line team and as a wise man just said to me, "The other players aren't playing enough to get any sense that they are part of this team." I am hearing that Detroit has interest in Prospal. He is the obvious choice as far as moving a player to build toward the future. However this from a former GM last night, "I still have to tell you, despite how crazy it would appear on the surface, Vinny may have to be moved to truly rebuild a team that makes economic sense for this ownership." Jay Feaster is, in my opinion, one of the best GMs in the NHL and he is (I am certain) looking at EVERY option while the ownership direction continues to blur the projections for next year's budget. Again take it for what its worth, let me know what you think.

First of all I will agree with most of you on your posts. Saying that Sundin is coming to the wings is 50/50 at this point. But the thing is if your Mats why would you not want to go to a cup winning team that has the best chance of winning a cup. As a kid most of us played hockey. We all wanted to some day hoist a cup, be it in your back yard or in your basement playing with your friends. I just don't see why Mats wants to stay with the Leafs, I know he is dedicated with sticking it out with one team I respect that whole heartdley. But as many of you say he has at least 2-3 years left in him. Why not take this opportunity to play with your fellow country men to hoist the one thing we have all dreamed about as kids. And being in the NHL that has to come into play. He has the money, skill, the awards and achievements but he is missing one piece of hardware. This isnt a cryout for sundin to come here but for some to say that he will not leave Toronto let some of these reasons be a plus. If we get him awesome if we dont thats ok. All I am hoping for is that if we do pick somone up he can fit in as I think Sundin would do for this team. GO WINGS P.S. Great win tonight boys

Boy I love some of you posters always quick to judge, and have no faith. I would love it if some of you went through hard times, and people told you could never do it or you are all washed up. Give the damn man a break, everyone has there demons some people can get over them, some can't. But to say D-Mac cant is ridiculous. I hope he proves everyone wrong. And can dawn the Wings uni again. It would be truly an inspirational story. To say that he will is to be seen, but if the work ethic is there and he can regain his form bring him on. How fricken stupid, the NHL has become a mochary. Watch the movie Slap Shot 2 I know its a terrible movie but that is exactly what the NHL is going to become. A circus on ice. And I agree I love composites sticks but when I walked in to the hockey store last week to look at equipment, they have all this new crap that is terrible. Brand names like Warrior and other fugly sticks and equipment. Bring back Christian, Cooper, the Original Bauer. etc. The real equipment used by real hockey players. Sorry about my rant but this just sounds so damn stupid, next thing there gonna have rocket launchers on the back of skates. Or testing them for that matter.

Well I am looking forward to this game as my day will be full of hockey . First my buddy and I are going to go open skating outside at the best rink here in MN. I was on mlive.com and came across this article, I know this should probably be in trade rumor board but thought I would post here. Apparently as stated earlier on this season, the wings might be making a push for Mats Sundin. The sweeden connection want him here in Detroit, and has told holland to get it done. What do you think we give up for Mats? And would you like doing this? I think this would be amazing depending upon who we give up he would revitilze some scoring that we need and add to the size issue.
