Talking about if the Wings should grab a Center for the second line, one comes to mind that no one talks about is Patrick Marleau. I know he might be to much but I would much rather have him than anyone else. He is a big, he can score and he can do a little hitting. I know he might be to much but worth a shot. And yes he was terrible in the playoffs but playing for Detroit may make a bit of differnce.

I love it, every year you people whine and ***** about the wings lack of toughness and grit, we get a guy who does both and comes cheaper than most of the remaining UFA's. And you still complain about it, I dont get Wings fans they want grit and toughness and when the get they cry about it. Well some you may say this is a bad signing but I think its a smart move by Kenny. Here is why, you get a little ball of hate, hes a nasty player he hits and fights. Just what some of you want plus he is gonna come cheap. So if Holland wants another forward or Defencemen he can sign someone else. He has played here before knows the personal. Drake and Cleary on a line sounds nice especailly come playoff time. Good Job Kenny go get 1 more forward and a defencemen. GO WINGS

This my thought on Big E, as many people say it would be a dumb move. I think it would be a good move for his career. Ask yourself how many players who were castoffs came to Detroit and revamped there career??? I can name a few of them. Like many say he is a low risk, high reward. He is big he can play physical when needed and with the right players he could be a huge assest. When you look at players like Lindros, and Yashin you have to remember what teams they were playing for. Some times players need a change of scenery. This may be a good thing or a bad thing. Only time will tell. GO WINGS

For the people say we need McCarty back, I would rather see Lang back ,thats how bad it is. Why might I say this well my sisters friend's b/f plays minor league hockey for Calagary's minor league team. I know some of you clowns are gonna spout off that your sisters, brothers, dad' is fake. But whatever. Any who I talked to him one night at the bars and asked him about players on Calagary, I said so whats the deal on D-Mac how is he doing. He told me not so good he said he is a huge gambler, say's he goes out every night and gambles. Reason why he went bankrupt, and also said he is way out of shape. WOW all I have to say is some of you are just plain retarded, how can you say this is the worst off-season ever??? We lose Lang who sucks ball sack, we lose schneider and gain a better D in Rafalski, we lose Calder who lost his game back in May. And yes as it may hurt to lose Bert ,come on, no one recovers from back surgery 100%, no one ever recovers from any injury. I broke my arm playing hockey back in 99 pretty much in half and have a plate and screws and I cant lift as much as you to. Thats just the facts of life. So Bertuzzi I feel will never be the same again. If he does great, but I dont see it. We have Grigs a kid who was supposed to be the next Kovalchuck, the kid is nasty and hits 5-11 215. That has mack truck written all over it. I am 6'4 220 so that means something. Plus we have Cleary, Franzen, Homer who all play a grind it out type of game, so stop worrrying about grit. Plus I would rather have Zetterberg down the road. Again quit bashing Holland, again hes cutting a way the dead meat. GO WINGS

So for the past couple days I have been looking at lists of remaining free agents, and checking to see who would fit well with Detroit, dont shoot me I am just posting who I think would fit, as well as the cost . Here we go for defence if we do not resign Markov here is some potential suitors who could fill his void. Aaron Miller, with Rafalski and Chelios he would fit in well with his US teamates. Janne Ninamma always thought he was a good defencemen has decent size and his mobile as well. Vitaly Vishnevski need I say more nasty player has an edge to him and will play the body. Sopel another good defencemen who would fit well on this team. Add to the list Ossi Vannanan For the remaining forward spots, guys I like are dont hang me for this but Eric Lindros, could come cheap big and we know he can score. Yes I reliaze he has a vegtiable for a brain but could rekindle his old self with the Wings. Barnaby yes people hate him and he hasnt been that great in the last couple of years, but he has some good scrappy qualities and might get some of that back playing with Cleary. Gelinas, hes quick and can score, also I know hes not 6"3 like everybody would like but can put the puck in the net. Aaron Asham and or Yashin, Asham is big strong forward who can play a Bertuzzi type role but can actually skate. Yashin he has good size and can score may need to take a pay cut, but if he could get some of his Ottawa magic back would be great on the second line. Bill Guerin plays a type of game that would be good for Detroit, proven veteran leader. I think we all wanted him last year during the trade deadline. Peca another great player that I always liked, if healthy could be a nice addition as well to any second line. Just my thoughts let me know what you think. Please dont hang me, for who I picked. Also dont have all the numbers so I dont know all the costs but feel they maybe reasonable again we have some salary to play around with. GO WINGS

Here we go again, I don't understand some of you. First off Bertuzzi, damaged goods and over payed. Holland smart move in my oppinion. Way to not pay 4 mill for a loafer who is way past his golden years. Second we lost Lang why all the bitching, he slow as hell and has no passion, have fun in Chicago. Calder went to L.A. over achieved just after playing 12 decent games. And Schneider isnt getting any younger and Rafalski wants to be here and wants to win with Detroit. I feel tomorrow we will see Hasek resign. And by ends week will see another forward or two dawn the Winged Wheel. We need to resign Markov, because as good as Rafalski is, he is not physical enough. We were lacking physical defencemen last season, and by adding Rafalski, we get another small, puck-moving defenseman. We still will not get the intimidating D-man we truly need. - Come on are you serious Markov doesnt compare to Rafalski do you even watch hockey?? Two toatlly different defencemen, Also are you reallly gonna cry if we lose markov, there a handfull of D that can replace him. Stuart, Sopel, etc. Check the free agent lists. We will be fine. Like one poster said we didnt get hull untill August. RFA are still available. And no offence the players that signed were way overpaid. Holland is not stupid, the upper managment knows what the team needs are and will address them accordingly. Hoepfully. And why would you want another head coach??? I remember watching the playoffs him standing in front and as the D shot it he flinched away. Give me a break. I want a guy whos gonna sacrafice his body, even if he was injured. Just thinking of Rafalski and Lidstrom on the same team makes me jump for joy. We have Kindl who as well all know maybe cracking the line up this year. And trust me Holland will get a defencemen to make up for a Markov loss. Grigs will most likely make the team add a couple free agent forwards, that can put the puck in the net and bam we have a team again. Let me say I would love to get all the big free agent names, hell thats what I do on NHL 07 but its not gonna happen, and s*** I sure dont want to pay a small guy like Gomez 7 mill. Or what some of these guys got on the open market. Again everyone will ride us off this season since we didnt take all the big free agents, but we will be back on top of the standings and the Western Conference. Enjoy the ride and offseason. Why would you not want Kozzie back, I was gonna post this but somebody already did. He is exactly what the Wings need, he can score, make amazing passes and he would know the system. Yea hes not real physical but you dont think of Dats being a hitter, but he knows how to use his body. Sign him now KENNY. At least hes not lazy and sucks.
