Now i know we're all a little Red Wings bias, but the past 5 games the officaiting has been god aweful. i checked game logs on NHL.com for a complete list of penalties for and against, and i came up with these numbers. 41 penalties for 24 penalties against Pretty damn close to 2:1. Now for a puck possession team like Detroit, these numbers just dont make sense to me. Seems the refs are letting the oppostion get away with everything, and we get called for just about anything. Either that, or we're just a bunch of goons playing against flawless teams. Just a 'we just lost two games in a row, so I'm in a sour mood' rant i suppose.

They scored a grand total of two goals becasue they were in the penalty box for most of the game. Tough to score when shorthanded.

I sure havn't. While it's true most of our penalties have been legit, it's the iffy calls against us that have bothered me, and the iffy calls missed against the opposition the past couple of games. Example: Stick stuck in Calder's helmet vs Colorado, Alberts tackling the net off as the puck was trickling in, numerous charges by Tootoo, Charge last night by Stuart on Flip... etc. Regardless, the calls do end up evening out in the long run, just as FinWing said... Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.

Get on a plane and get the f*** out of Western Canada ASAP!! I hope we dont get stuck playing Clagary or Vancouver at any point in the playoffs.
