Price - 16GP - 10-5-1, .923 save percentage, 2.18 goals against Howard - 11GP - 9-1-1, .921 save percentage, 2.15 goals against I bet you think price is an all-star though, don't you?

i find it hilarious that we cant score a ******* shootout goal against mother ******* peter budaj. Pure hilarity.

Anyone know why Tatar isn't attending this camp??
-
I personally would love to see Boynton in Detroit. He'd be a great third pairing guy if Big Rig or Kindl struggled at any point.
-
I said he had higher offensive ceiling, didn't say he was going to be better offensively. ...and toughness is measured in more ways than just fighting. Just wait 'til Tinordi fills into his 6'6 frame, he'll be putting guys through the boards.
-
Tougher why? because he fights more? Not going to sit here an argue who's better, or who will be better, because no one knows for sure. Though the fact of the matter is, Tinordi fits our system better, and will more then likely still be available when we draft. Same can't be said for Mcilrath.
-
Tinordi is a better skater, has more offensive upside, is equally as big, just doesn't drop the gloves nearly as much as Mcilrath. He's a great leader, had a great combine, and has the whole bloodline thing going for him. Tinordi simply fits better in our system than Mcilrath would, and that's a fact. Everyone on here wants Mcilrath because he's a big meat head, stay at home defender/fighter, and that's something we've lacked for a long time (fighter part anyway). Kenny also loves to draft college bound players, and Tinordi happens to be heading to Notre Dame. That gives him more time to develop before a qualifying offer needs to be made. I wouldn't be the slightest bit upset if we ended up with Mcilrath, though I'd honestly prefer Tinordi.

Tinordi > McIlrath

Clearly, you have never seen Mcfarland play. He played in 64 out of a possible 68 games for the Wolves this season, not sure where you got that 20 games from. He's not an overly big kid (6'0, 190ish lbs), and he plays with almost no physicallity, he's very soft. His top 5 ranking was based solely on his offensive upside, because he does have some skill. That being said, he's pathetic in his own end. He's comparable to Alexandre Daigle, not Franzen. The Wings will stay far away from this kid, I garantee. He is NOT, Red Wings material.
-
Hard to compare him to those two seeing as he plays C, and they're both defensemen(i know i compared him to Lidstrom, but i needed to make a point lol). Yashin is a pretty good comparison, just think a little more of a north/south type of player, and a little more size. He definately has some offensive upside(even though he has yet to really show it for Sudbury). He completely lacks defensive awareness... ZERO effort on the defensive side of the puck. Not exactly what I would call Red Wing material.
-
Mcfarland makes Yashin look like Lidstrom on the defesnive side of the rink, I truly hope we dont get stuck with that bum. He can take his possible 80 to 100 point NHL seasons, along with his -40 rating and go play elsewhere.
-
He's played in Sudbury the last three years.. and I think he's put up one 20 goal season. His bloodline alone i suppose makes him worth a 5th round draft pick, but I can't see him cracking an NHL roster any time soon.
-
Living in Sudbury, and having seen him play for the Wolves, I dont blame Phoenix for trading him. He was drafted because of his name, not because of his skill set.

I actually have lived in Quebec (though I was too young to remember it now), and have visited many, many times (including Montreal, and even some smaller, more french speaking towns). Truth is, there are some who treat anyone who speaks english poorly, but to gerealize an entire province over a few is ridiculous. I live in Ontario, have have for almost 30 years now... and I can tell you that the prejudice you feel when you speak english in Quebec, the French feel when they speak french in Ontario. Side note: I agree with your side note 100%.

A second round win for a team who were suppose to be eliminated (with ease) by the caps, and then by the pens as well. This team has already won two stanley cups(at least in it's fan's eyes) by eliminating the only two worthy seeds in the East. Both my old man, and my younger brother are habs fans... while they of course want their team to advance to the SCF, beating both the caps and the pens has pretty much made this a winning season/post-season. Side note: any Canadian who doesn't acknowledge Quebec as being a part of this great country, is not a true Canadian.
-
can anyone tell me the overall power play time for both teams? I'd check but i'm very disheartened right now. 10:06 minutes to 2:06 minutes in this game...I dont think I have to tell you which team got the 2 minutes and change. Just to be clear though, I dont blame the refs for this one tonight... just major bed s***ting going on all over the ice on the wings side to have won this game.

Datsyuk - A+ (5 goals, 8 points... last years playoff totals: 1 goal, 9 points) Homer - B (Homer being Homer) Franzen - B- (Hard to fault a guy for having a point per game, but he's been very quiet up to now) Zetterberg - A+ (round 1 MVP) Filppula - A+ (proving doubters wrong) Bertuzzi - B+ (complimenting Z and Fil beautifully) Helm - C+ (very strong on the pk, but a minus 3 makes it hard to grade him anything over a C+) Draper - C (could be better; could be worse) Eaves - C (0 points and a minus 2, though like Helmer, been great on the pk) Abby - A (providing everything asked of him) Miller - B (strong on the pk, and chipping in with a goal) Cleary - C- (0 points, even with limited ice time, it'd be nice to see Clears chip in) Lidstrom - A+ (expect any less?) Rafalski - B (not particularly strong, we need team USA Raffi) Stuart - A (beast, 2 goals, 6 points, +6) Kronner - B (we want the BIG hit!!) Lilja - B (soild in limited ice time) Ericsson - C+ (few turnovers, but played well regardless) Howie - A (aftrnoon games aside, Howie was spectacular) *edited, forgot about Heml's goal. upgraded to C+

contributing - lets go wings!
-
How in the sweet f*ck is this team last in the NHL?
-
Much like Brett Hull, though in reverse.
-
Pissed. Wings lose, and though in no way was it Ozzie's fault, I'm almost 100% sure we win this game if Howie's in net.

Hey guys.. at work, can't watch the game.. just saw the score was 3-3, and ozzie gave up 3 goals on 10 shots. Is he playing poorly? or was he beat by good shots?
