Hey guys and girls, Really hope I'm not stepping on anybody's toes by doing this, but I started up a league. Fantasy Yahoo league, Very deep league featuring 20 teams. Team owners will be first come first serve. http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hock...select?.scrumb= League ID# 107807, password = LGW Live online draft set for the end of the month, can be changed if need be. Teams will consist of 2 centers, 2 LWs, 2 RWs, 4 D, and 2 Goalies. 1 Injured Reserve spot, 5 bench spots. Hope you are all interested, and again, if I'm stepping on anyone's toes, let me know and I'll delete the league. Thanks guys and girls, here's to a great fantasty season.

Sorry if a similar thread already exists... too lazy to check. Semin - Malkin – Ovie Kovalev - Datsyuk – Kovalchuk Frolov - Yashin – Radulov Morozov - Fedorov – Filitov Markov – Markov Gonchar – Grebeshkov Tyutin – Volchenkov Khabibulin Bryzgalov Spares Kozlov Afinogenov Zubov (starts if healthy) Kalinin Only way to beat this team will be to muscle them. Not sure any country can match their skill. Thaughts?

Like it or not, Crosby will be the no.1 center... and Toews makes the team before Cleary. So many interchangeable parts on this team, hard to go wrong with any line combinations.

The Czechs? really? I agree with the other three... but I personally don't consider the Czech-Republic to be quite as good as the others mentionned. I'd say they're more of a tier 2 team with the likes of Finland, Slovakia and the US. Though, as Mindfly suggested, anything can happen in a win or go home game.

Jul 19, 2009 08:45 AM Madeleine White Staff Reporter - Tronto Star An 18-year-old man is dead after an early morning shooting at a house party in eastern Scarborough. The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach and collapsed on the driveway of a home on Rouge Hills Dr., shortly after 2 a.m. today. Emergency crews rushed him to hospital where he later died. At the scene, police interviewed a number of partygoers and scoured the front yard, where they found two shell casings, said Staff Sgt. Jim Mackrell. There is no word yet on the number of suspects police are looking for or what led to the shooting. Turns out nasty s*** happens here in Canada as well.. who'd a thunk it? This thread was meant to discuss Team Russia... not "who's nicer and has better beer - US or Canada", and not "who's better than Messier." Let's keep this thread on track folks.

Frolov - Datsyuk - Kovalchuck Looks good, but then again, you can put just about any name next to Pavs/Kovalchuck and it'll look good.

No, nothing official about this list... just something i put together quickly. ...and I forgot about Varlamov... good call on that one. Not sure I'd have him starting over 'Bulin or Bryz just yet though.

Agree 100x with this. In fact, out of all the players on the list, I see PJ as being the most likely to land in Detroit.
-
great move for both teams. More of a salary dump for the Rangers, though Higgins has proved he can be a pretty good player from time to time... and as stated above, perhaps a move leading to them landing Heatly. Not a big fan of Gomez at the salary he's under contract for, but he's always put up points and is a great playmaker. Perhaps MTL can use a little more of their soon to be cap space and pick up a Gaborik/Cammalleri/Hossa type to play on his wing?
-
no pick in the first for the wings.
-
Ashton to wings!!! man they better pick this guy
-
Carter Ashton or Simon Despres dropping to 29 are steals!! hope we get either one of these guys.

ahahah they have a thread "List of Positives from Game 5" Re: List of positives from game 5 by slappybrown on Sat Jun 06, 2009 11:05 pm This should be the shortest thread ever Love it. Also LOVE the "Datsyuk will be innefective" type thread they had.

You know, if you were a wings fan on the pens board, you'd have been banned a long time ago for ridiculous comments like this. Actually, you probably would've been banned just for being a wings fan on a pens board. ahahah
-
I'm as big a red wings homer as anyone on these boards... but reading some of these posts is getting ridiculous. Some of you guys are starting to sound like half the ****** bags on letsgopens. Big Rig interfeared, no questions about it. It was a legit call. Did the pens get away with some calls? absolutely... did the wings? yeah they probably did as well. That's just the way the cookie crumbles ladies and gentlemen... bitter pill to swallow sometimes i know... but we still have a 1 game lead. Let's not make excuses, and lose with a little dignity shall we?

Anyone else notice that a player whom, by the nhl rule book, should have been suspended for this game ends up netting three assists? ...and before anyone jumps all over me, i agree with him not being suspended for this game... just thaugh i'd mention it is all.
-
Not sure who's watching the CBC broadcast, but they reported a minute ago that, of course, it was Dan O'Hallaran who threw Kronner out of the game... "Deemed a hit to the head of an unsuspecting opponent."

Watson demonstrates tonight why the NHL has the worst bunch of officials in any pro sports. I hate losing, but hate "losing" even more. Go f*ck yourself you blind piece of Sh*t. Here's hoping Rafalski is ready for game 4.

With 5 games remaining, do you guys think Pavs will hit the 100 point mark? He currently has 93 points. Seven points in 5 games seems doable to me. Your thaughts?

Found this today. If it's been posted already, I apologise... RW Johan Franzen: 6-3-2 (.636) without him; 43-13-7 (.738) when he's in the lineup. D Brad Stuart: 9-4-2 (.667) when he's out; 40-12-7 (.737) when he's in. RW Tomas Holmstrom: 20-8-2 (.700) when he's hurt; 29-8-7 (.739) when he plays. D Andreas Lilja: 10-2-1 (.808) when he' sidelined; 39-14-8 (.705) otherwise. link - http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2009/03/me...ngs_injure.html

Flames seemed to have Ozzy scouted pretty good tonight... Put weak shots on net from any where, and watch him to cheat of his posts. ahaha, seriously though, I love Ozzy, but it's safe to say we wont repeat with him in net.
-
...so, do the Flames use leopold in the shoot-out against us? lol
-
Wow... Draper... leave your stick on the ice and take the f*cking man. No wonder your +/- is brutal.
