No suspension really doesn't surprise me. Did it deserve a suspension? Yeah, but nothing more than a game. Anyone expecting an eye for an eye should not tune in tomorrow, because it wont happen. Babs wont allow it. Detroit will stick to the same gameplan that's won them the last 8 games, they'd be foolish to do anything else. Besides, if Mac, Drake, Cheli, etc... took a run at Ribeiro and actually hurt him, Dallas would surely send Ott or one of their goons after Z or Dats or Nick, and we really dont want that to happen. I do expect Detroit to finnish every check on him though, and here's hoping that little ***** tries to skate the puck out of his own end with his head down while kronner's on the ice.

hmmmmm.... Love Dom and everything he's done for the Wings, but momentum changing, backbreaking goals like he's let in can't happen in the playoffs. I agree with the poster who said Ozzy should start in game 5, if he wins, we keep him in for game 6. If he loses (God forbid), I think we owe it to Dom to finnish out the series... win or lose.

First, his trade from Pits to Washington: 11-Jul-01: Pittsburgh Penguins traded Jaromir Jagr and Frantisek Kucera to the Washington Capitals for Kris Beech, Michal Sivek and Ross Lupaschuk and future considerations. ...and then, from Washington to NY: 23-Jan-04: Washington Capitals traded Jaromir Jagr to the New York Rangers for Anson Carter. Both of those trades have to be considered amongst the worst in NHL history

I know there's already a Recchi thread, but that was an original waiver... he's now on re-entry waivers, which means teams can claim him and pay only half of his 1.75 Million dollar salary, with Pitsburgh having to pay the other half. Considering over a quarter of the season has already been played, Recchi would only cost a team roughly 700K for the year. Is he worth it now???
