I think I would do the same thing and then when the rosters expand sit them both and play Helm and Abdelkader.

They are both wasting roster spots. Chelios sucked in G.R. He looked as if he did not belong in the AHL. His age is showing and Lebda is just a figure skater with shoulder pads.

If Chelios will retire after the winter classic then I say play him. Otherwise sit him. He's just taking up a roster spot this year anyway.

I agree, playoffs are a different animal but the regular season is different. Players will take cheap shot in the regular season because there is not as much at stake. So, for the regular season we need someone other then Mac that can throw down and win and Downey proved last year that he can do the job. I would send Mac down and bring Downey up.

The punches to the head of Zetterberg pissed me off. In the past I would say I want Mac but he is past his prime. I would love to have Downey up, he is better at this point. I think the Wings need Downey. Downey would be my choice hands down.

He was ok until he was burned bad at the end of the game and took a penalty to give the game away. His shot looks like it travels at about 40mph. He did not impress me and I was at the game. The griffins have better d-men then Chelios.
