  1. Ive been trying desperately to find a vid of that fight for the past hour and a half....no luck. Various press clippings as well as your post have one thing in common though, apparently he didnt fare very well.

On a side note: I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT F'N MIKE KEANE STILL PLAYS!!!!! :o

The game was on local tv last night but I didn't see any video clips from the game. Maybe try the Moose's website. It was not much of a fight. Mac took quite a few punches and a coulple uppercuts and tried to throw a few but had his jersey pulled over his head and held on for dear life. The thing I do like about him is that if any cheap shots are thrown on the ice he is right in there after the person or on his next shift.

  2. I would like to say first that I like McCarty but I have been watching him on the Griffins and he is the slowest guy on the ice for either team on any night. He does a lot of coasting when out on the ice. He has a looooooooooooooooooong way to go to get into shape. If he doesn't sign with the Wings it would be stupid on his part and as someone said greedy. I don't see another team taking him, he has no speed. Plus last night he got his butt kicked in a fight.

  3. I watched Grigs on Friday night in G.R. and I don't see what the Wings brass sees in him. I don't think by watching him that he even belongs in the AHL. My vote is to send him back home and release him, he sucks.

  4. Former Wings forward Martin Lapointe was in town Wednesday -- as a Blackhawk.

There's speculation he could be returning for a longer stay.

Lapointe, 33, has another year left on his contract, but the Blackhawks are in a rebuilding mode and could be willing to trade him.

Lapointe, though, doesn't want to abandon a young Chicago team.

"I'm here (Chicago) and my family is well settled in Chicago and we love it there," Lapointe said. "We're (the Blackhawks) going through some rough times, but I enjoy working with the young guys and I take pride in that."

Blackhawks general manager Dale Tallon said he'll continue to listen to trade proposals until the Feb. 27 deadline.

  5. There has been a interest in both of these players in the wings camp (espn.com). If they get both, they will have that 'gringing edge' that they will need for the playoffs..... What do you think? Big and they can fight !

I agree. We need some size. If we don't get some size into the lineup it will be like last years playoff.
