Hate the idea Only b/c Fil has been in the system his whole pro career and all the time devoloping him would be a waste. I trust the redwing system and the product it produces so there's no doubt in my mind that next year and the years to follow he will be completely devoloped. 3 mill will be a bargain when he reaches he full potential. Add to that what he brings in the playoffs and hes a steal.

Abdelkador woudlnt have been called up to begin with if Helm wasnt hurt. Helm just came back to the Griffins lineup last Friday. I was at the game and usaully he stands out the most but he was kinda under the radar all game

ya the VS announcers made it sound like Lilja is some renegade badass that looks for blood everytime hes on the ice. I thought I saw Backes helment come off and it made it look as if Lilja elbowed his head into the boards but it was just the helment flying. Honestly it looked as bad as when Lilja got shoved face first into the glass in the Winter Classic and that was pretty harmless

his 6 million dollar contract is why i want him moved.

Looking at our current cap situation for next year I was pondering the thought of trading rafalski. His contract is eating up 6 mill a season and with Ericsson coming up next year someone is getting bumped. Dont get me wrong his play in the Offensive zone is awesome but it's at the other end where he is the weakest. His contract is greatly over paying after next year. Lidstrom imo wont be back after next season and Rafalski-Kronwall as our #1 d line sucks. Trade the dude for a 1st rounder or something. All im saying is something will have to give next year and this is a quick n painless fix. oh and losing Franzen Kopey n Maltby. I tried watchin the skills competition last year but it just seemed to ddddddrrrrrrraaagg on.. hated listening to the annoucers talk period wanted to see more player interaction than anything and if they mic a player up they take like 3 sounds clips of stupid s*** .. I want to hear waht players to other players .. For me they could cut it down to like 4 competitions hardest shot breakaway fastest skater quick shooting against the goalies and thats it and i dont think ive watched an allstar game since the late 90's and ive watched hockey for 14 years

... no im not ... players have the option of throwing their wieght and Detroit just wasnt doing it. big deal its a regular season game and we lost in a entertaining high scoring game. A fight wouldnt of won us the game .. stopping 2 breakaways would have. and for people saying put in downey? for what 5 mins of laughter? the guy cant skate worth dick and by the time he finishes a check hes outta the play entirely.. The one change im hoping for when playoffs come is 2/3rds of the foruth line gets changed. Helm-Draper-Abdelkador end it

Roenick He's absolutley right when he talks about interviewing hockey players .. they all say the same damn thing -I think we played a good game tonight -we shot the puck well -trying to put pucks in the back of the net boom thats the dialoge of a hockey player and its boring as hell ... i remember a couple of good interviews from wings players and ciccerelli mouthing off about shaking lemuix hand was great n so was the Datsyuk ring tone.. Ozzie is a character but even he says the same garbage everytime .. I wanna hear some f'n anger or some goofin around .. pull bettman outta your asses and say something entertaining (noT Avery style) OV is a excellent example. I pretty sure everyone would like to see some more personallity on screen instead on paper .. seems like a lot of funny s*** happens with the cameras off.
