This guy is amazing. I wish the newspaper or someone would do a lengthy interview with him, I really would like to know more about him. He's by far the most important man in this organization, if it weren't for him, we wouldn't have a Stanley Cup team right now. We're very lucky to have him.

Send Draper packin, not because hes terrible, because Helm is younger faster and flat out better with Draps closing in on 40. Throw him in between Kopecky and Fil next year. I would rather have him on the team than Draper or Maltby also with this new Fin comin over next year, I like youth.

EASILY the best all around player in the NHL he dominates the game offensively by setting linemates up and getting his own goals all while hussling his ass down to backcheck and get takeaways... No one in the NHL works as hard as this guy night after night defensively while scoring 100 pts a year. Absolutely amazing. He controls the whole game and sets the tempo. (Z helps too!)

He is such a bad person. Everything this man has to say is garbage whether its MSU football or UM basketball he always goes for the stuggling teams just to piss people off. If he died I probably wouldn't really care.

wow I agree with you 100% what a loser. I hate how he yells so loud after a team scores. He does nothing but hurt versus NBC and our game.

Downey blows. He has ZERO offensive skill at all. Sammeulson gets shots on net and creates scoring opportunities. He's also solid with the puck. Mccarty has more offensive skill than Downey and he hasnt played in a year. I like the guy, hes a good guy, but this is a business and theres no room for him. bam Actually he deserves to play more than Hartigan... talk about a panzy. Hes a soft weak player who does nothing.

wings are still the best team in the league. Their defense is the best ever and scoring will work itself out. Maybe Dmac will come in and play a minor role like Kocur did and come up with a few goals... maybe not. I'm not too worried. I also think the fact that Kopecky and Franzen's size will help keep Joe Thornton and Getzlaf mediocre. I'm an optimist. If everyone is healthy... Detroit will win the cup. My opinion.

Crazy... Ok. So me and my friend got tickets 1st row for the Kid Rock concert tonight at the Joe. We're standing there before the show and security guards come with Sergei from back stage and he has seats right next to us. Anyways, after many beers I built up enough courage to ask him to take a picture with me. He ended up hanging out with us for the whole show and we had a great time. He is a very nice dude with an amazing personality. I made sure to tell him that we love him here in Detroit and I wish he would come back for the last few years of his career. He said he loved his time here and never said he wouldn't come back I will upload pictures tomorrow. Its late and i still have to transfer them from my iphone... anyways... it was crazy and I thought I would share with you guys!!!

Ok I want to look ahead to next year real quick. We have Lidstrom, Kronwall, Lilja, Rafalski, Lebda and most likely Chelios returning. As we know, Kindl, Ericsson, Quincy and a couple others on their way up, with Kindl being the top candidate. Out of the 6 guys we have now, who is the most expendable? Could you see Lebda getting traded, because he's signed through 09/10. He doesn't have a big frame and isn't very physical. Also, aren't the Wings trying to lock up Lilja too? I like Kindl a lot and want to see him up here ASAP to learn from Lidstrom before he retires. Let me know what yall think. Lidstrom Rafalski Kronwall Kindl Chelios Lilja ????????????

I'm just saying, if Kindl was good enough to almost make the team a couple years ago at 19 years old, he's gotta be that much better now. I wanna see him up here for a september call-up like baseball around late Feb. Give Nick and Cheli a few breathers as long as we have #1 locked up.

I don't know if this has been said before, i'm not gonna go back and read every post. My opinion is he's just another piece to this puzzle here. I like him, don't love him. Even though he's not physical, his big frame is an advantage. I don't like the fact he plays on the back end during a power play but I think this will be the last year I hope, with Kindl and all the other D prospects on their way up.

Favorite thing was a 5th grade Christmas present from my Dad. He went through hell to get me a jersey signed by the whole 97 Stanley Cup team. Don't know how he did it but its pretty sweet. The worst thing i got was a Larry Murphy jersey.

No Way. There would be wayyy many more icings which would slow the game down even more with stoppages in play and turn it into football baseball and basketball. Which would suck.
