That is ridiculous. It has to be so hard to come to a different country not knowing the language enough to order dinner when out with his teammates. No one on the Griffs can speak russian or even come close to communicating with him. Obviously he is going to have a hard month or two adjusting to the language barrier, culture and the game itself. Give this kid a break. Yes he was out of shape but he honestly didn't know what to expect coming to the NHL. These atheletes are in amazing shape compared to any other league in Europe. I'm glad he is up with the Wings so Pav and others can help him out, teach him a good work ethic and how to stay in NHL shape day in and day out. Don't expect him to light it up here. It's going to take at least a few months, if not the whole year to adjust. Pav had tons of trouble his first year and the only reason he as many points as he did was because he was on a line with great great teammates

You all need to chill out about Kopecky. There is a reason Babcock is putting him out there instead of Downey. Maybe because Downey has absolutely zero talent other than fighting? Give Kopecky a chance, we're not even a month into the season yet. Downey gets his few minutes of ice time each game, gets in a fight, gets under a few peoples skin... and he's happy and so are you guys. They don't need him out there for more than 5 minutes a game in any sort of role other than what he's in right now.

You know what, I was on the Rangers forum last year and they were talking about GDT's. Someone said that "some kid" made amazing GDT's on the LGW forums and everyone agreed... congratulations.

Don't know if this has been posted yet. Just got off the phone with Comcast and the guy told me that the NHL Network will be available on Comcast November 1st (with HD channel). It is a part of the NFL Network and a few other sports channels package. I'm pretty sure it costs $4.99/month which includes 5-10 sports channels including NHL TV... not too sure what that is.

I think Pav deserves it more than draper. Draper is a great penalty killer and 2 way player... But so is Datsyuk. He back checks just as well as Draper and scores 70 more points a season also. Perfect decision in my opinion. I'm glad they're rotating.
