Yeah.... My guess is that those available tickets end up at the venue office at gametime for walk-ups and stuff like that. But we all know the NBA is above calling things a sell-out when they aren't right?? Ok I lied, that wasn't my last post on this thread

I had the beard but I had to trim it down to a goatee because I had a rather important meeting/negotiation for work about the time the Wings turned it around against San Jose. So I'm thinking that I'll shave the mustache part and keep the chin covered while I allow the sides to grow a bit. I'll be Amish, it's ok

That seems to be the reasoning others are throwing at me. I was wondering myself. Believe me this is the last post I'm going to make on this thread. Not worth the energy.... Hopefully. I'd hate to be the only one making the trip. The 8 months pregnant wife isn't allowed to travel and the out of town brother backed out on me last night the bastid.... my mistake, you were one of the very few level-headed posters last night. My sincere apologies. Since when are pistons selling out? I have been able to get ticket up until game time on ticketmaster each and every game... According to si.com here: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketbal...tons/index.html They received the attendance of: 22,076 According to Wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Palace_of_Auburn_Hills The basketball capacity is 22,076. They've been at (and probably above given how things tend to work) the posted capacity for every game of the Bulls series so far. They were also doing the same thing for BOTH of the Magic games. Sorry for the long time to respond, I wanted to make sure, but I'd heard that the Pistons had sold out all of their home playoff games so far. It is crazy and insane, but it's what fanatics like me tend to do..... Just look at the $1400 I just threw down to get Buckeye tickets this year

Exactly. Both sides have to deal with it. Tying it into a problem with the ticket pricing is, beneath what I think Wings fans should stand for, at least what I stand for as a Wings fan. So you say....

Awwww...poor wittle offsides is mad at me...what'll I ever do???

It's not an excuse. I have already made my trip to Detroit to see the Wings back in January anyway. I guess being a true fan means doing the trip twice and putting up wtih incessant whining about refs and cheap players like Tootoo.... Again if the PIstons can sell out while the Tigers weren't even in town, then the Red Wings should too. If the Wings can't get that for a playoff game, the NHL is truly screwed. I guess though that being almost exactly like the Atlanta Braves is seen as a good thing here. But all that is not the point. The point is, if you are going to put down the money for the playoff tickets, there is a chance that the omnipotent Wings MIGHT lose. They aren't playing Columbus or Chicago here. The refs are humans, they will make mistakes. It isn't some damned grand conspiracy to "make it hard for my team to win". That's horsedung. If the experience is only worth it if the Wings win, eventually you are going to be disappointed. First off, STFU yourself. Secondly, I'm waiting on my parents to call me back if they want to go. It really depends on them as to the number of tickets. Thirdly, this is an absolutely stupid debate. Don't you have some whining about a goal to do on another thread?
-
Wahh wahh it's heartbreaking. Guess what? Thems the breaks. And I won't STFU for anyone short of a Mod or Matt. I never realized that the Wings fans of the 2000s were doing a hell of an impression of the Atlanta Braves fans.....I guess I learn something new every day....

WCF Game 2 (5/13): Ducks 4, Red Wings 3 OT
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to aflac9262's topic in General
Because the rules clearly state that a puck cannot ever go off of an offensive player's glove and into the net and count as a goal. Please don't confuse the issue here. -
If you're going to complain about the prices don't go. And don't act like people who are calling you out about the conspiracy mis-read your post. The implication is very clearly in there. It is when you live 4 hours south and have 6 people that want to go with you, moron. NO it's called distance and # of tickets needed. Along with the fact that I'd rather deal wtih the incessant whining about refereeing here instead of in Detroit.... And no my ***** here is that if he's going to whine about the game and the cost, just don't go and let someone else give it a shot. That isn't exactly crying about Ilitch making some money off of the fans (his right) and spouting a conspiracy theory about the refs and replays.
-
If you think the NHL is purposely making the officiating bad to stop the Wings from winning, then please, give up your tickets, so I can get a shot at a seat every now and again...... The whining on this board tonight is ******* pathetic.

Which is why you are HERE and they are on the ice. Your opinion doesn't matter a damn The refs and officials in the booth (along with those in Toronto) do matter..... -

they should've won this game. Taking stupid penalties and killing momentum and not taking advantage of Anaheim sitting back killed them. And let's not ***** about the video replays. They happen from time to time. -

This is where you are wrong. No ruling means no ruling, meaning that the refs did NOT blow the whistle and the play continued. -

Is it me or does Bertuzzi seem to be too passive with his shot on offense? I know he doesn't exactly have an Al McInnis slapper or a Gretzky wristshot, but they are playing him to the boards every time and not respecting anything resembling a shot... Or maybe it's just me.... -
