The bottom line is that the Wings aren't winning. That's the ONLY thing that matters this time of year. How well you play in those losses doesn't matter a damn bit.

The Wings are something like 6 for their lives in the playoffs on the PP You'd think they'll break through at some point.... Or they'll continue to take slappers and wristers from the point that go a foot wide.....

I think that given a full off-season where he doesn't have an injury or need some type of surgery done, Bert could return to form and be a force next year for the Wings. I'm pretty sure Lang is going to go, meaning Filp will move up to the 2nd line most likely. How about a line of Cleary - Filp - Bert?

Given how the Wings played the last 30 minutes or so of the game, if Hasek isn't on the ball he's not even close at the end. If Hasek isn't on the ball in game 2, it's 3-0 right now.

there is already a topic, but Detroit is actually west of Columbus by something like 2 miles..... Needless to say, Detroit isn't going anywhere. Columbus might (and probably will at some point) go to the East, but Detroit is going to stay in the west for the time being.

Of course this isn't accounting for advances in medical knowledge and having medical staff on the ice that understand that concussions are a serious business..... Grapes is right, in a way, that the perception is thrown off by having more players carted off, but at the same time we know so much more now than back in the day about what Concussions are and what they do that there really isn't any other way to approach them at the moment. On 2nd thought, Grapes seems to forget, sometimes, that this isn't the 1970s anymore. Hockey won't ever be like that again.
