it worked the other night, so here it goes... Stars 6 Wings 3 The Wings look completely unfocused and uninterested in playing defense and while Turdco isn't great in the net, he doesn't need to be. Ozzie gets hung out to dry on several occaisions and the only reason the game is tied at 2 through 2 periods is because of Ozzie. Wings also get outshot 56 - 27.

Hockey is likely lower than 3rd or 4th place in the USA. More like 5th or 6th behind the: NFL MLB NBA NCAAF NCAAB NECKCAR Yeah maybe it's more like 7th at this point. You gotta be kidding me if you think the US is anywhere near 1st on that list. Hell just about those 4 countries the US is 4th and if you include Finland and maybe even the Czech Republic likely more like 6th or 7th there too. Therefore, this thread is FAIL

I think it has more to do with what's happening with this team right now. Call it Karma or luck or whatever, but the breaks AREN'T going to the Wings right now.

I don't know. I'd love to be able to watch and listen to their practices at this point. It would be interesting to see what they work on....

if *ANY* game or the result of said game makes you "wallow in depression and anger", you've got issues. Meanwhile, I doubt this team is going to score even a 3rd goal to put it into OT. St. loserise is now in a 1-4 trap. and I forgot to mention it's been a long time since the Wings even had a shot on goal.

This team hasn't scored 4 goals total in 4 games if you include tonight. I don't get where this blind optimism comes from.....

since every time there's a thread like this, people here predict wins. Since the Wings have been struggling, I'm going the other way... Wings LOSE 4-2 tonight. we'll see where this goes...

It's a Reilly thread so it's good for 3 things 1) Completely worthless opinions and theories put forth by Reilly. 2) about 200 posts, most of which completely blow up any of his "theories" 3) It will eventually get pulled. And once the Wings turn it around, he'll disappear, only to resurface when the team is facing adversity. I don't think he's truly a Wings fan actually. I think he is a troll, like you stated.

I didn't say he sucks. I said he's past his prime. All visual evidence points to this IMO.

We can go back to the now deleted thread where I defended Homer against someone who kept calling him "ninety-sux"... while that's a bit of an exaggeration (he'd still be the 3rd or 4th best player on about half of the teams in the league), he's not like what he used to be because he's past his prime.

wow.... I mean if this team had all of its' players healthy and playing, they would be fine. But between the attrition (Hossa, Hudler) and the injuries (Kronwall, Franzen) I am CERTAIN this team is going to struggle to even make the playoffs.

they had gotten tangled up in the 1st period (which resulted in a fight for Dorsett)....essentially Dorsett checked him behind the net, Neal gave him a little slash (it wasn't penalty worthy), Dorsett started to try to agitate him (and ended up getting a cross checking penalty but it wasn't too bad either), and Dorsett and Dailey ended up having a fight resulting from the scrum. Mainly my first reaction was "Hey look at that, a Marc Crawford team gooning it up". And honestly, that reaction still seems to fit.

Kinda like this, but that PI was legit. and had the same ref called an even more obvious mugging late in the 4th quarter, Ohio State runs out the clock and OT never happens. Just sayin....

This just in The NHL is going to hire the Hebner brothers to referee games. They cited their sterling records in "keeping the story straight"..... yes yes that's a pro/fake wrestlign reference, but it feels appropriate here.

It's a 3rd rate league. This is what 3rd rate leagues do. They blow calls and then immediately deny the blown call was ever made, DESPITE ample evidence otherwise. Like I said if you recorded the game on a DVR, find a way to download it because we won't ever see replays of this game after tomorrow and ESPECIALLY of that goal.

It's what I call enforced incompetence. If the NHL truly wanted to make it's officiating better, it would. But for now, for some reason, the incompetent refs are generating results to the point that the NHL isn't canning their asses for it. It might not be a conspiracy, but when shows like "Sid and Stanley" pop up less than 2 months after a semi-controversial Cup win, people might start to see things. I would say something dumb like "Let's boycott the NHL" or "just don't watch", but since most of the US and more and more of Canada is doing that anyway, why bother. The NHL won't even exist after the next lockout anyway, and the evil elf will only have himself to blame. But maybe he can live with Cindy Crysby in Mario's basement or something. Hell they could share the same couch even.
