Sports Teams with the Most Annoying Fans
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
I think I've finally talked the two Penwhines fans at work into the fact that Malkin is better than Crysby. IT took nearly all summer though. and yes PIttspuke fans suck. -

I live just to the east of Dayton and go to Cincy every other weekend. Yes I see that thing a LOT. -

I'm just so amused by Michigan and other college football fans that don't think their fan bases include the same type of douchebaggery they link to Ohio State. And yes I'm amused by the fact that you think I'm annoying for being a Buckeye fan. LOL -

I guess the writer just doesn't understand how the OSU fanbase stays motivated after losing some championship games to great teams. I guess the fanbase should melt away much like Calgary's did after 2004 huh?? Anyway, any list that doesn't have the SEC (either a specific team or in general) listed for douchebag fans should be taken with a serious grain of salt. Same with USC and Ntre Ame fans. -
Ken Hitchcock wants to make the Wings "Bleed"

You always worry about every team in your division. The Central is going to be teh best division in the NHL this coming year, so dominating the Central will dominate the NHL. And Columbus isn't rebuilding at all. If anything, this will probably be their best team ever as a franchise. -
VS is owned by Comcast which is a DirecTV rival.

The Craps will easily win the SouthEast again this year and will be either the 1 or 2 seed in the East. That's hardly as one-sided (in a player's mind, not just a fan's mind) than you'd think....
-
That would be an interesting pickup... Given that even on Detroit's 4th line he would likely have more talent around him overall than any year that he's played, he might score 30 goals in Detroit. How is his defense though??
-
I know, but if it were possible....that woudl be the trade...
-
I'd trade Hudler and Rafalski if the offer came up. That'll free up some cap space (up to possibly 3M) and would give the wings a chance to get a bit younger on the blue line perhaps.

Who will man the right point on the second PP unit
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to CenterIce's topic in General
It will almost certainly be Ericcson to start out. He's a right-handed shot AND a natural defenseman.... I think we may also see Stuart at times if things don't go quite as smoothly to start. -
If the Wings refocus on defense and actually limit the turnovers they'll still win the division by 6-10 points in the end. The only real reason the division was under 10 points THIS YEAR was because the Wings locked up the division earlier than anyone else and was more or less locked into the 2nd seed and started to not take risks generally associated with a team fighting for a playoff spot.

Just go jump off the Windsor bridge and end it now and be done with it. Good God this thread sucks.

He had his chance last year to express interest and instead waited Detroit out while Detroit went elsewhere. That's a sign to me, at least, that he's not interested. You mean other than what occurred his last year in Toronto? Or how about his constant flaming out in the playoffs? No he'll want to center the line with Datsyuk and Franzen on it. He still wants to be "the guy" and will want to be paid like it. Except he's not going to get 20-25 minutes a night in Detroit. That's the point. Detroit doesn't need a WAYYYY past his prime Sundin taking up cap room and lineup space. There are other, younger, cheaper options.
-
The same site has Detroit over $500,000 over the cap too.
-
1. No 2. Sundin has said repeatedly he won't play in Detroit. 3. The Wings don't need his baggage 4. He'll demand top line time when Detroit doesn't have any to give him. 5. This isn't Mats Sundin of the 2000 timeframe. The 2009 version has lost 2 steps. Not worth it.

You do know what a two-way contract is for, right?
-
Yeah so?
-
Wow it's gotta suck to be you today.
-
that really reads like wishful thinking. Besides that not how Brian Burke builds his teams anyway. He won't go for high-priced vets right off the bat, it doesn't work that way with him.
-
Considering Trashville had 2 losses to Colorado, one to Tampa and at least one to Atlanta, it isn't as far-fetched as you think If they just go .500 in those 4 games, they make the playoffs and Anaheim doesn't. That's how close it came to happening THIS past year.
-
I don't think that's really the point. Sundin's skills at this point in his career aren't worth the cap hit or the rocking of the boat at this point. Besides he's said he doesn't want to play in Detroit in the past. Why bother.
