Abso-*******-lutely NOT
-
I think they could have last year, but they ran into the Wings. Imagine if they had played San Jose or Vancouver in the first round? They may not have won, but it certainly would not have been a sweep. They need one more player to be a serious player in the Central this year. Something tells me they arent' done yet.

Columbus.

That's kinda funny since I live just west of Columbus and yet I've not heard anything like that. What I have heard (from some really decent sources) is that he LOVES playing in the city and he did not want to leave as things are right now.

If You Think Hudler's NOT worth $3 Million...
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to LeftWinger's topic in General
No what I'm saying is he more easily fits into the role of a traditional 1st or 2nd line guy. Here he'll be the 3rd line most nights. The Wings need to restructure their 3rd and 4th lines and Hulder is one of the guys that will have the axe fall on him. so reading FAIL back to you. -
If You Think Hudler's NOT worth $3 Million...
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to LeftWinger's topic in General
Yeah I think Hudler's not worth $3 million per year and that's mostly because I think this season's playoffs shows the Wings that they need some more physical type players and NOT the smallish players like Hudler. He is who he is, he's a playmaker who needs to be on the top 2 lines but that isn't going to happen in Detroit. -
If Gordie freakin Howe says Cindy is a good kid, I'll believe him. Doesn't mean I like the little bastard though....
-
Hudler isn't going to be on the 1st and 2nd lines pretty much ever as the roster currently stands. As the playoffs showed us over and over again against the Ducks and Penguins especially, the 3rd and 4th lines need to be more defensively-minded and need to be solid with the puck. Hudler, unfortunately, is neither. He's a guy who needs to be able to create plays and not have to be a go-to guy on D.

oh you really think highly of yourself don't you? Verbal raping? Only in your dreams. Now go back to worshiping your Cindy Crysby poster.

If a team can last over a decade in Miami and nearing a decade in Atlanta, Hamilton supporting a team won't be an issue. Besides it's not like the Leafs are that hot a commodity right now anyway. The team hasn't won a Cup since the early 60s and hasn't made the playoffs in what 4 or 5 years? The area is ripe for the picking IMO.

Congrats, Pittsburgh... hope next time you have to earn it!

Who gives a s*** if Lilja sits or not? He'll be on the LTIR and his salary won't count. And I don't think Kopecky is as gone as some here think.

why not grab some playoff style defensemen?
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to Kronthewall55's topic in General
f*** all 3 of those choices. Our D was fine with the notable exception of the bad turnovers. -
I was thinking about it last night, and it seems that Cleary is near every loose puck, is always in the middle of seemingly every scrum and is generally making a nuisance of himself while scoring some goals. When I was thinking that through, it really kinda fell into place that he was playing like another player, on the Wings, who did the same things to teams like St. Louis and Colorado. Agree? Disagree? Anyone?
-
Anyway, moving on...... If Hossa is willing to come back for a significant pay deduction (say $3 million a year cap hit per year or less), I would seriously consider resigning him. However, if that's the offer and there is any hesistation, I'd stop it right then and there. Hossa is a great regular season player, but the Wings have some serious depth coming up through the system. It's not worth sacrificing future depth for the here and now with this roster anymore. The time for that is quickly passing us by and it's time to look towards the future.

Cleary Now = Maltby from 8-10 years ago?
BuckeyeWingsfan80 replied to BuckeyeWingsfan80's topic in General
Looking at this thread over 2 full years later, it's amazing the growth of Cleary as a player. He's on the first line of the Detroit REd Wings most nights. amazing. -
You most certainly do and logic has very little to do with your involvement in this thread.
-
Did he call back? BTW, nice job ending the sentence with a preposition. I thought someone who thinks of himself as you do would be smart enough to avoid such things.
-
You really do think you're better than all the rest of us huh? I'm guessing you really aren't a Wings fan at all and are, in fact, a Penguins fan trying to provoke people.
