Columbus is playing the style that Detroit still struggles with....anyone who is willing to get physical and not give Detroit's playmakers time to make the right decisions will be able to play Detroit close like this assuming the goaltender is playing ok.... Detroit really needs to score some messy goals for it to work. They can't rely solely upon skill to get by in games like this.

I lived north of Baltimore when the Orioles built Camden Yards and it revitalized the Inner Harbor and made it a place to be....hopefully this arena is able to do the same thing for the city of Detroit.

Babcock would never put a rookie on the top line with Z and D so your lineups are already unrealistic. Face it, while I don't want them to tank a season, this roster is going exactly nowhere. Holland is literally wasting the end segment of Z and D's careers with marginal teams with little imaginaion, youth, or energy. And find a way to get eliminated in the 1st round again. In the west that's not acceptable but somewhat expected. IN the East that is absolutely dreadful and depressing.

Yeah....no. Signing guys like Alfie/Sammy/Cleary/Bert going into last season was a clear sign that they weren't in rebuilding mode yet. Trading for Legwand isn't how you rebuild either. Part of rebuilding is using your draft picks, not trading for 2 month rentals. Holland needs to go.

"We like our team" If this is in any way acceptable from this team's GM after the last 3 (really 4) years I don't know what to tell you. Holland clearly needs to go, the team needs to be rebuilt and the franchise needs to transition.

I don't think the CBJ are gong to win another game. If s***zburgh shows up in Game 6 like they did last night that should be enough. the CBJ are going to be a cast iron ***** in years to come, but they aren't quite there yet.
