Actually I think Bettman got more than he bargained for in this regard. Not to hijack your thread, but 29 other NHL cities (including Detroit and some Pittsburgh fans as well), have noticed the all-out Crysby push over the past 2+ years and have gotten tired of it. so when the idiot, er ummm Commish decided to give his opinion of the officiating, he gave credence to just about ALL of the conspiracy people that he wanted this not only to be a series, but that he was officially listening to the whining coming out of Pittsburgh. Now, since the idiot mentioned it, the national media has taken notice and, like a shark which has chum in the water, they are circling and hitting him from all sides now. Let it go. The guy is an idiot, he obviously is incompetent and has no idea what the "situation/feeling on the ground" is.

There is some agreement there. However this playoff run has shown everyone (I hope) that the cupboard isn't bare behind him. So maybe the combo of Helm, Leino and Abdelkader won't score 40 total, but they are all ready to step in. and having that type of cap room freed up would be nice if/when Ozzie really starts to decline at some point. And don't look now, but Ozzie was stellar against the BlackHawks and the Ducks have serious issues scoring mroe than 2 goals a game even in the regular season.

Ozzie has been good in the postseason. The team still continues to turn the puck over in it's own zone and it continually leaves people uncovered for clear shots on goal.

No they sucked. it was painfully obvious. You can have 100 shots but if 60% of them come from bad angles and/or along the boards with no traffic in front, you aren't going to score much. but you are right about the refs.

right now my big picture ecompasses games 5 and 6 and, if possible, game 7. and right now they aren't even the best in this series in all honesty. Doesn't mean they can't win, but Pittsburgh is playing a TON better than Detroit is.

on paper sure....on your XBOX 360, sure thing. But they don't play like it. It appears they don't have the swagger like it. The best team in the NHL doesn't have a 65% PK or a PP that looks this horrible. And honestly, the best team in the NHL gives a s***. They don't.
