OUCH!!! A friend of mine called me last night after the game, he is a Pens fan who was cheering for the CBJ. Apparently at the bar he was at in Columbus, there were some idiots in Wings jerseys harrassing him about it, but they couldn't name the country Lidstrom was from OR who Mario Lemieux is.... And yes, BTW, he agreed with the penalty as called.

No, not really. While the officiating was the usual bad to horrible in this series, it figures they finally called something right and it's a bigger story than all of the questionable calls that occurred throughout the series. That said, hell yes this forum would be damned near unreadable if the call had gone the other way and the CBJ had scored to win the series. Matt might even have to shut this place down for 24 hours or something. -

please for the love of God close this POS already. It isn't bad enough that us Wings fans have the reputation of looking down on other fans but this thread proves it for all to see. OF course the CBJ have some bad fans, so DO THE WINGS and most of the Wings fans grew up around hockey. Get over yourselves. -

Good year for the Jackets. Take nothing away from this game except that they could have folded it when it was 4-1 but didn't. They likely won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Looking at what they are bringing back plus what they have that didn't really play this year (Brassard and Filatov especially), they'll be solid again next year. HOpefully Ozzy heals up quick and retains his edge for the next round. -

LOL at Gare whining about the penalty call. Usually I don't find him as grating as you all do because I watch most of the BJ games when I'm at home. But that was beyond the pale. -
