Something akin to that. He's not just playing the game against the Wings, he's playing the refs too and Babs does it as well in the actual game, but he hasn't done it in public like this (is Yet the right finisher for this sentence?).....

I kinda see it that way too. from being in Columbus and listening to the guy, I kinda wonder if he means "cheating" like he wishes his guys were doing it that way too. Sure as hell if the CBJ got away with it he wouldn't be complaining. Hitch has been too consistent a coach to get completely crazy after one playoff game with Columbus. this isn't Bob Hartley here or Michele Therrien.

I think the point is the Pens are needing gift calls to win close games. They won Game 1 without a doubt. they needed help in game 2.

The power play that tied it up should have been a holding the stick penalty on Staal instead of the hooking call that was called on Carter. Maybe they tie it up after that, but maybe they don't.

No they wouldn't. The f***tard that heads up the Officiating in the NHL and his idiot boss would be saying the calls were absolutely correctly called regardless of the situation. Of course those two idiots are why the league is failing, but what the hell....

I don't know about that. Put Columbus in the East and they win pretty much every division except maybe the NorthEast with Boston being there. Put Columbus (or really any other western team) in the SouthEast division and they likely win the President's Trophy. Columbus not being widely considered a good team by the national media is ludicrous. -
umm the Atlanta Braves had issues filling up their brand new ballpark in the late 90s when they were making the playoffs every year. Hell the year they won the World Series they had tickets available for the world series games on the day of the game. Part of it is the economy, part of it is the fanbase is used to winning. Reducing the price isn't the only surefire answer.

It's a doubleheader on NBC so there is a game at 2 and a game at 5 -
St. Louis got a couple gift Power plays and are up 2-0 on Columbus. It'll be funny to watch St. Louis NOT get those same calls in the playoffs and flame out like they always do LOL

We'll see Helm before we see Leino this year IMO. Helm has been there and has some experience. Leino will be there next year (hopefully)....

No not at all (if you're kidding) If you aren't kidding, yeah he got high sticked right in front of the ref and there was no call but he was bleeding from a cut just below his eye. -

Actually I'm glad the Jackets made the playoffs so perhaps a growing hockey market like columbus can continue to do so.... I like being able to see a NHL game live and in person without having a 2 or 3 hour drive to get there -

The hit was clean. Malkin shouldn't try to jump over hits because of this very reason. Crysby is a ***** and is lucky he was able to wrestle Ballard to the ground before Ballard really lit him up. -

If I had my druthers, I'd take Ericcson Lilja on most nights although I'm sure a situation will arrive where having the veteran presence of Chelios will help too. Honestly after these playoffs I think Lebda and Meech are gone. Anyone hear if Helm and/or Leino are going to get called up soon? -
