I'll vouch for the first part. Remember we had a disagreement until we came to an understanding which was reinforced by this game actually. Unless the D shapes up, we don't have a superstar in goal. That's just a fact. but it's also a fact (since some on here are throwing that around like it applied to TONIGHT'S game) that the D has been particularly horrendous on many more occasions this year than last. As I said during the massacre, when Detroit has cared this season, they have shut some good teams down. But when the other team has played desperation hockey kinda like what Columbus did tonight, Detroit has struggled all year long. The Playoffs will be interesting no doubt.

FINALLY that's one Osgood should have had every single time. deflections happen, breakaways against scorers ok, but THAT was bad.

And I'm simply stating the fact that unless those pucks physically hit Osgood, especially the Umberger and Torres goals, he had NO chance what so ever. But hell while we're at it, let's blame Osgood for something else he has no control over, like how GM is going to go out of business or the Economy overall. It makes about as much sense logically. And he's not the worst goalie in the league. That would be the backup goalie on Tampa. If you can't start for a crappy team like that, you shouldn't be in the NHL.

Yeah Osgood should go straight emo like some of the "fans" do on here when someone screws up. Today it's Osgood. Tomorrow it'll be Sammy. Anyone good at photoshop? When the defense plays this bad you could play 2 goalies and it won't matter. The Wings care, they shut teams down. When the other team plays with more desperation, the Wings have lost every game this year. You can think what you want, I just want to be fair. If the defense helps Osgood out at all in the 1st this game is at most 2-1 BJs. Kinda like the last game between the teams in Columbus, without Osgood, this game is significantly uglier.

So all 4 goals were his fault? The Wings are going to have to get over it now, because Osgood is about as good as it's going to get the playoffs like it or not.
