I hope the Wings win so then I can stop watching the NHL altogether....that was horrible and in fact the officiating in the NHL has been horrendous all year long but the Vampire that is the NHL commish can't even spell NHL so there's no chance of it getting fixed....

there is "selling a series" and then there is denying reality as it slaps you in the face. This was more of the latter and it has absolutely nothing to do with "kissing Red Wing ass"....

I like how they were saying in between the 2nd and 3rd periods that the Stars had carried the play. A quick look at the stats at that point told a completely different story. the Wings had outshot Dallas (not a surprise), won more face-offs (not a huge surprise, but the percentage was like 80% for Detroit), and OUTHIT Dallas at that point. I guess the numbers DO lie.....or something.....

He made the right play. The VS color guy said he made the right play. The Caps came within 2 inches (the distance between Feds stick and the puck) from being in Round 2.... Melrose et. al can shove it.

The Wings haven't played like that since 2002 - it's not going to happen this year. Just hope for an early 4 goal lead on Friday.

Believe it or not, after the game on Saturday, I told my dad that if Detroit screws up and loses both games in Nashville I thought that the Wings would choke it away in 6. I don't know why I said it though. For some reason I've had that feeling since the first goal by Franzen in game 1.

It's over. I won't complain about the s***ty reffing, when the team plays 15 minutes of a 60 minute game, expecting to get calls and then claim they might have cost you the game is pretty, well, Trotz-esque. Blow it up.
