Nabokov just increased his value for the Islanders. He shut out Philly for a 1-0 win in a shootout. He made something like 45 saves.

The Blues have been having trouble scoring lately. Hit 'em fast and hit 'em hard for a full 60 minutes. Wings: 3 (Val, Huds and Bert) Blues: 1 (Maybe)

It seems the Wings may have that gritty player that everybody wanted. If my memory isn't failing me, this is the third boarding call against Zetterberg in recent weeks. If he gets suspended for 2 games, he'll have nine days off. Maybe the rest would do him good.

I was looking for team stats for penalty shots. How many has each team taken this season? Anyone know where I could find out?

Congrats to Jimmy and Dats. I wish Pavel could get the extra rest over the break but it would be a farce if he wasn't selected. He can't fake an injury without missing the regular season game that follows the All-Star game. I was hoping Jimmy wouldn't be selected as he was being overworked. He seems to be genuinely excited about going so good for him. It's great that Lids gets to spend some time with his family. Good move by the NHL.

This is the only game I'll be watching tonight. My frustration meter has dropped 75% since I've been unable to watch the Lions. I don't miss the NFL at all, not even a little. Wings win 3-2 in regulation.

Thanks Mike, the GDT looks great! Wings should be energized tonight, they've had two days off. With three more days off following this game they should be able to play hard for 60 minutes. Z is a bum.
