I'd love to see Weber in red. I wouldn't want to get in a pissing contest with the Preds though. Nashville usually has a lot more cap space than Detroit does. I don't know the numbers now, but they had 8 mil last October. They are more than capable of pulling the same thing the Islanders did with Nabokov. -
I would love to see him back next year. For those that think he's too old, one of Lidstrom's most important assets lies in between his ears. I can't see him getting dumber in the off season. He has an uncanny knack of knowing where to be and when to be there, thus conserving his strength by being in the right place at the right time. Babcock knows how to manage his minutes. He probably has 2-3 more good years left if he chooses.

I heard that Russia left a roster spot open in case Datsyuk became available. I would hope he doesn't go and take the time to let his wrist heal. Has anybody heard anything?

I feel real confident that Detroit will win tonight. Bert said he had never seen the team so excited to take a 7 hour plane ride. Link Don't know if the Sharks are "excited" about the game tonight. I think they may be having trouble keeping their lunch down.
