Believe me, it was thoroughly discussed, as it happened, on the GDT.

As a looong time sports fan from Michigan I have to say there are NO givens. I've learned to take nothing for granted. When the Wings are leading by 3 with less then a minute to go I am unable to breathe until I see 0.00 on the scoreboard. Makes victory all the sweeter. Edit: Chicago knows all about it. Remember a couple years ago when they were leading the Wings 2-0 with like 16 sec. to go and they ended up losing 3-2 in OT.

Without Lidstrom in the playoffs this season we've outscored our opponents at a 6-1 ratio.

I thought it would have been a tough shot to stop even without the screen. Deceptively quick and perfectly placed wrister in the top corner. Similar placement to the slapshot Stevie Y made for the OT winner against the Blues. Wow! -

All true, good post. Also, he is receiving his due from the pundits the past two seasons. That's always nice to see. My only concern is a possible concussion from the cheap headshots that opponents seem to have a penchant for delivering. The one that Malone laid on him last season during the finals was, without doubt, intentional. Hope he keeps his head up. -
