Holland on CBC, says Wings aren't afraid to make a big deal but he wont over pay. He says they are trying to rebuild and he doesn't want to "empty the cupboards" for one year.

great chance to showcase some of our young talent with the upcoming trade deadline. I think a 3 week rest for Lids is much deserved. It gives him enough time to comeback and get in game shape for the playoffs and he will be nice and fresh.

I have no problem with Quincey being called up. I am now actually looking forward to this game. These guys are our future after all. We still have lids and it will be good for these guy to play in some meaningless games. -

Kenny should got the Ottawa route and go after malone and orpick, That would be my choices. Both are UFA after this season. Low risk trade, both physical and malone can score. I'd actually like to see kenny sign orpick this summer instead of extending lilja.. and if cleary walks , malone would be a good replacement -

This is the thing with Lilja. He is being used as a top 4 defenseman which he is absolutely not, he is a 5th,6th d man at best. He is good on the Pk i must admit, but other than that he should be playing a limited role on this team and we need to get a legit top 4 guy at the deadline like blake or someone of that nature.
