why I hate the leafs even more. omg sopel is a 10 times worse McCabe in his own end, defense version of bobby lang. Cullimore I wouldn't mind if he actually used his size. Downey would be dirt cheap and could play with drake on the 4th line. Downey and drake on a line would be quite entertaining IMO

I've been fortunate enough not to have a concussion (usually the one dishing them out) but it's part of the game, it's a contact sport. When you are a kid you are taught to keep your head up and not cut into the middle like that. I know people who had to stop playing Hockey completely because of head injuries and I've seen some pretty scary things, but it was a good hit and thats what happens when you cut into the middle with your head down. He got up skated away on his own power and just seemed a bit dazed, your acting as if he was out cold and being taken away on a stretcher. Then it would be serious you never want to see a guy go off on a stretcher.

whatever wood is just as good. those are the one i use anyways, i've tried those expensive sticks and they break easy and feel like your holding air. Everyones got there preference but they are not for me. I'll take my 2 wooden sticks for 20 bucks a piece. I can make 2 wooden sticks last me an entire year (about 40 games).

Last year there was about 30 wings games on cbc, tsn, and nbc and most of them were home games....barley got to see ken and mick last year but hey looks like I will be seeing alot more of them this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Cory perry brought the cup to my town like 2 days ago and he's such a tool, he took it to some greasy bar downtown of all places and only let his friends and former and current knights players go to see it. You would think after all the support and time Cory Perry spent in London he would let some of the fans see it and "Give Back" a bit to the loyal Knight fans and such. Just really shows how low class Cory Perry really is.

honestly signing maltby for 3 more years was a huge mistake. we have plenty of guys who can kill penalty's Franzen, draper, hank, dats, filpula, cleary the list goes on. Would much rather have asham than maltby, maltby is just taking up a roster spot IMO.

The thing I love about defense is that you always have to be in perfect position. I just loved sitting back at the blue line and the neutral zone watching over they prey like a hawk. I loved being in the corners in my end mucking it up and applying lumber to the guys who tried to take over my area in front of the net and mess with my goalie. I guess as I got older I liked playing defense more, but my coach would never let me play cause he wanted my playing in my natural LW position and score goals rather than prevent them..

Hank, D is alot of fun, i used to play a bit of d when someone on our team got hurt or suspended or something. There is nothing more satisfying then catching a guy not even paying attention looking back for a pass or the guys who admire there passes for a brief second or two and laying the boom down on them, and pinching in when the winger is looking back at his d man waiting for the breakout pass, really good way to get some big hits on defense.

yep pretty disappointed, I like Drake, but I would have preferred Asham........
