well with kindl and quincey knocking on the door, maybe one of them will push lilja out of the 6th spot and the Wings will be forced to move him. I really hope this happens It's good to hear these guys are going to get the chance to make the team this year out of camp.

I think he can play one more year in junior if he chooses, I beleive it;s 21 and he's only 20. but i could be wrong, I know kindl played some games in GR last year then went back to kitchener.

will helm play in GR this year? I really like what I saw from this kid in the world juniors. He reminds me of a young draper with some scoring potential.

Ok as of now we have seven defensman on the roster: Lidstrom Cheli Rafalski Kronwall Lilja Lebda Quincey Lets say we are done signing defensman. Thats 7 d six of which will play. Do you split time between the 2 or do you just go with whoever plays better? TSN scouting report: Quincey Assets Displays all-around ability and owns a very projectable frame. Skates well and is not shy about throwing his weight around. Flaws Is still somewhat raw, and needs to round out his game. Consistency remains a major obstacle, as is the case with most young defensemen. Career potential Top four defenseman. Lebda: Assets Moves well with the puck, and limits his mistakes in the defensive zone. Owns offensive potential. Flaws Doesn't own ideal NHL size for a defenseman, and isn't physical at all. Needs to display more consistency at the highest level. Career potential Top six defenseman. So this is just my opinion here, but I see Lebda as nothing more than he really is now except he may put up some decent numbers down the road. With Quincey I see a guy who one day will be that defensive stopper that handles the other teams big forwards and clears the front of the net. I don't see him putting up huge offensive numbers but if he can fill out his 6-2 frame to about 215-220 and be consistent i see top 4 written all over that kid. Lebda is no slouch either but if we go with that 7 going into the season I'd like to see quincey get a shot. We already have Lidstrom and rafalski and kronwall and possibly kindl soon and ericsson. I like Lebda but I like Quincey better, I just don't see Lebda fitting in. P.S feel free to flame

hmm lets see, mission skates and pants, bauer gloves, helmet, vic elbow pads, ferland shoulder pads, hespler shin pads, itech jock and D & R neck guard, shock doctor mouth guard and sherwood stick that yes is wooden, i actually like to feel like im holding something instead of air, plus you can lay a good two hander without shattering your stick.

Well it's great to know Yashin won't be coming here, so all the Yashin lovers can give it a rest What intrigues me though is that we are done with signings for now right? I forget how much cap space we have left but we have heard time and time again about how we need a top 6 forward. Well what if we are just waiting out to get forsberg sometime during the season. I'd take a completly healthy forsberg over Yashin or the Big G anyday, We all know what forsberg can do, he brings alot to the table. I think he could help us win. I know everyone gonna be like "oh he played for the Av's screw him" well that rivalry has long ended IMO all the players from that era have moved on, if this teams serious about winning I think it's realistc to say we would have a really good chance at getting him (if 100% healthy).

yep crappy schedule i love how the first 5 games go, but then 7 of the next 9 we go on a western road trip to cali and bc the desert, alberta bah !

i just don't see the need for 4 offensive defensemen. Especially when we have Kindl and ericcson knocking on the door.
