ok here's my line up homer/dats/hudler mule/hank/grigrenko gelinas/filp/cleary maltby/draper/Asham kopecky lids/rafalski boynton/krownwall cheli/lebda quincey Hasek osgood howard we trade sammy and lilja to pheonix for boynton. in this lineup you have skill, speed and toughness, a perfect balance. I know this won't be the line up but this is how i'd want it to look.

MARKOV!!!! we still got lots of money, just give him his 3 mill, or kenny could break the bank and get souray here
-
Kenny know's what he's doing im glad he didn't overpay. We have tons of flexibility now. If only Kenny could find a new home for Sammy, I don't think he really brings much to the Wings.
-
feel much better now knowing there will never be a chance to have raycroft here. HMMMMMMMMM 2 mil for raycroft or DOM, who would i rather have.......
-
Brad winchester is very intriguing he's only 26 but is still pretty raw, he has the makings of a Power forward though so maybe if we put him with some good players he could flourish. It's worked for cleary ect. He could proboaly be had for the league minimun.
-
I don't know why people are so against adding toughness to this team, it beyond me, and im not talking about "Drop the gloves guys" like brad norton, guys who actually know how the game is played.
-
did you watch the one with him and Janssen? And richards was a really good fighter in junior, some pretty good fighters if you ask me.
-
I haven't seen Asham loose a fight in years, every fight i've seen he's either handed it to the guy or absolutely destroyed them. He scored 11 goals on the fourth line in Long Island, i bet he could get 15-20 in Detroit no problem the way babcock roles the lines, and he is a babcock type player too so he would fit in perfectly.
-
Get Asham here, a guy who can contibute on the score sheet and drop the gloves is rare these days!!!!
-
Hudler is just going to be a waste unless he gets at least 15 minutes a game and PP time. If he gets PP time and more mins he will score 30 goals
-
we won't be signing raycroft, he is under contract we'd have to trade for him.........
-
do not like the sounds of this. Hopefully it's just the Toronto media starting some BS Wings Interested In Raycroft
-
oh god i hope not
-
I do not want a cave man here either I want a guy who can score 10-15 goals and not take any s*** from anybody and thorw down when the opportunity arises.
-
I'd hate to say it but maybe we need to trade guys like sammy and lebda and huds for some bigger NA players, that can play but also throw down if need be. The draft was a start when we drafted 4 NA players, lets get a couple more here that can play for the Wings right now.
-
wow hnidy to ducks, according to eklund its a done deal. Take it for what it's worth.
-
I sure hope Howard pans out or the Wings are screwed.
-
Im tired of seeing our guys get manhandled and cheapshotted.
-
I don't know why we just try to deal for bryz or offer lundqvist, or emery. Goaltending situation solved for years
-
nope, we need to get big.
-
Lets not forget Cleary was a really good player in junior and was a high draft pick. He seems he has found himself here in Detroit and maybe he is going to finally live up to all his potential.
-
Ducks are shopping Bryz. Would burke try to rape us? or what would we give up. I don't think it would be that much.
-
Raycroft and his 2 million dollars can go elsewhere. From a person who watches his fair share of leaf games trust me, raycroft is absolutley horrible. If it wasn't for him blowing 4 goal leads to buffalo and montreal ect, the leafs would be in the playoffs. The Ducks are shopping Bryzgalov right now, i'd much rather have him then raycroft.
-
maybe a bottle of JD

My top 2 choices are Asham and Tanabe. They will bring some size to the lineup to start the year and could be had for a cheap enough price to leave lots of room to make a trade(s) somewhere down the line this season.
