Live about 2 hrs east up the 401 from Detriot. Saw my first NHL game which happened to be the Wings when I was about 8. I remeber Stevie flying around out there and instanly I became a huge fan, and I've been loyal ever since.

It will be Huds... thats what my gut tells me. On a side note Lilja did play very well tonight. Go Wings

I got some steaks marinating in beer. Lots of beer in the fridge, tons of munchies all my Wings stanley cup pictures, yzerman pictures you name it. and I will be wearing my luckey red wings gold chain and I got my Franzen jersey all ready to go. Yes I actually have a Franzen Jersey!!! My Friend who grew up in Calgary is coming to watch the game, hope we don't drink and smoke to much and end up getting in a fist fight when one of our teams win. MAN I CAN"T WAIT LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED GO WING GO!!!!

Well today is the start of hopefully a long and painful playoffs. The key to the Wings success are 2 things: Hasek, and can the Wings match teams physically and not back down. Lets go boys this is your time to shine. Wings 3-1 Hank,Pavel,Lang score the goals. Franzen and Lilja play like monsters that have been chained up and beaten for the past 3 years and are hungry to destroy anything that has a Flame on it. LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe he will play. Maybe the Wings are just playing mind games. If it's day to day then tommorow is another day and he may still play. It could be a game time decision, maybe he will wake up tommrow and feel great. Lets be optimistic.

I have a feeling the Wings are going to crush the Flames. I hate John Garret and I hope he isn't doing the games this year...

I predict Bertuzzi gets in a fight tonight!

he will have some tightness and stiffness, that comes with back surgery, but as long as he takes care of it the right way much like dom is doing with his grion then I don't see it being an issue at all. Bert is playing great hockey right now and he's doing exactly what we need him to do.

Best case scenario. Flames pass Wild and we play the wild. Anehiem stays in second plays the flames. Vancouver stays in third and plays SJ in 6th. This is the best case scenario, The Wings Matchup good against the Wild. Let The physical teams like Calgary, Vancouver, Anihiem, San Jose beat the hell out of eachother in the first round, then you can knock off 2 of the teams we have trouble with. Then if the Wings meet either Flames,Sharks,Anihiem,Canucks in the second round they will be worn out and the Wings will have there way with them. IMO this is the best situatuion. Turst me I repeat we DO NOT wan't Calgary in the first round, if the Wings can't match them physically then we are done.

we have enough Centres already. We need and enforcer that can play, a rugged stay at home d man and another big winger or 2.

I'd rather play the good teams first to get them out of the way. Besides the Wings Match up well against San Jose and Dallas. We could very well end up playing the Wild too, another team I think the Wings can beat. The team that scares me the most is Calgary or Vancouver. We cannot for some reason seem to beat westren Canadian teams. I am praying that we win the division, and Av's beat out Calgary for final spot, I would love a DET VS COL First Round matchup.

Call me crazy but i've never been a real big Lilja fan but after that night I think I could see mysself liking him a bit more. I cannot belive he actually dropped the gloves! Don't know if anyone else noticed this but Lilja landed a few real nice shots that stunned Moen early on before Moen's fighting instincts kicked in. If Lilja started to fight more he could be a decent fighter and a better player IMO. The guy is 6-3 230 if he plays nasty like he did against the Ducks, I would have no problem dressing him as a 7th defensman in the PO.

Just read on TSN that Bert is going to be on a line with Pavel and Homer. Sounds good to me!

This team needs a guy Like Brashear, Orr, Peters among others. That Ben Eager guy is pretty tough too.
