I never take anything seriously Holland says anymore. Who know what he is thinking, but if he can't work out a deal with the Yotes for Doan it will be disappointing... Greg Campbell would be great for that gritty bottom six guy.

He is Metis (half french half native) and is from a French settlement in Alberta. He speaks French and will be a good addition to the Habs.

Hopefully Doan puts a good audition on for Kenny but he's the only one that shows up to play and Wings win.

^^^^^ I think the team we have now could win a cup, but I don't think they can afford to go down 2-0 in a series again. This team is not currently built to grind out multiple 7 games series. If Jimmy remains solid and they can pounce on teams early and often, they could win it.

Teams with enforcers have bad games and when they do they go out there and goon it up. For once I would like to see the Wings goon it up in a blow out game and attack the other teams star players. Happens to them all the time lol.

Seriously, I doubt Columbus would be asking to much for Boll, one of Eaves, Emmerton, Miller, take your pick. If not then move on.

Columbus is a mess right now and will be in fire sale mode. Boll would be a great addition and I would trade anyone from the bottom 6 not named Helm and Abby for him. What is stopping Kenny from doing this again???

I want to see the Wings go for Jarret Stoll as a buy low candidate. Having a terrible year in LA but he's a guy who is great on faceoffs, has a huge right handed shot that would play well on the PP, solid penalty killer and is gritty as hell.

What it comes down to right now is the Wings need to get tougher to play against. They can skill their way to wins in the regular season but you can't skill your way to win a 7 game series. However, I think Holland has started to address this through the draft in recent years.

To bad it was Salo, he's a good guy. Would of rather it be Kesler or one of the Sundin's. Marchand will get 3 games and guys will think twice when they go to hit him next time.

Maybe I blew it a bit out of proportion with the thread title but I thought it was a shot by Cherry to Holland and the Wings. We all know it wouldn't hurt to add some tougher players on the 4th line but it wont happen this year.

Sorry, I didn't take that into account. I don't like to paraphrase but he basically called out Holland about not having a tough guy and how Detroit has never won a cup without one. In a sarcastic voice he was saying how Holland is some sort of hockey god and how he has the NHL figured out etc. He also said Detroit will not win a cup when they have to go into places like Boston. NHL Fight Club is your best friend.
