agreed, i would like to see the wings take a chance on some big power forwards in the first round more often. it be nice to hit a home run with, should i dare say, a perry- getzlaff type. sure i would perfer a lucic type, but those guys are ultra-rare these days.

sure you can blame ccrimmon, and yes, he is part of the problem. from watching the games guys just don't look hungry anymore. lets face it, our star players are at, or on the wrong side of 30, we sign bums like modano, miller and salei instead of letting a kid play, we got a goalie with no confidence, and this team is soooo soft in their own end its a joke. nothing but guys standing around playing with themselves, can't win important face offs to save their lives. better tighten this up or it will be a short playoffs.

It sure is, I'd say from about London down it is about 50/50. I live in London and know entire families of wings fans who have been fans for generations, my grandfathers favorite player was Gordie Howe. I also see a lot of younger kids around town as well wearing wings gear, which is a good thing IMO. When I was a kid I got made fun of for being a wings fan, but I sure had the last laugh. I got a lot of buddies that are wings fans and when we go to the bar to watch the playoff games we always got leaf fans chirping us lol Needless to say, the fights don't surprise me. This is a huge rivalry in Southwestern Ontario and it always will be. When I went to the home opener in the banner raising ceremony I saw several fights as well. Thanks Gary.
