well, maybe I haven't seen enough NCAA, I see the odd game on tv but CHL hockey is mad dirty. If NCAA is as dirty as you guys say then I will make an attempt to watch more because I love tough, dirty, hockey. And yes, smith is going to be beastly. Love how the wings are drafting more complete players these last few years.

I would compare smith to quincey in terms of physical play. not overly physical but a guy who will finish his checks and lay the odd guy out. He will stick up for himself and teammates. Add that to his offensive game and you got something special, future captan material. Sky is the limit for smith but he's got to work on his attitude.

well thanks for clarifying that, I was just going by how eaves and miller were becoming UFA's after this season but i realized they will both be 27 by next off season.

im not 100% sure how the RFA thing works but if we sign modano they will sign 1 year deals. Would they not then become UFA's after this season?

yep, and they are now 2.6M over the cap, but salo will be on LTIR, so they wont have to do anything until he comes back, or will they......

who's to say that helm and abby may want to test the FA market after these deals are up because of the way holland has handled them. they are being treated like cast away's for someone who is not even needed on this team.

thats pretty much how it was with us too, but it could be different now as well since I stopped playing in midget and that was about 8-9 years ago. it looked like those kids where on the same team and just messing around. Really, kids cant really hurt each other at that age, they are protected by their equipment and really just not strong enough to punch through the equipment hard enough to hurt somebody let alone rip a kids helmet off.. They only way I could see them getting hurt is by stick swinging or kicking.

is that for real?? we used to joke around all the time when I played at that age and did the same things lol. then when we got older we started to fight all the time and would only be suspended for a game. Thats is pretty lame to get kicked out for the season for fighting. Sometimes s*** just happens and now im done for the year? weak.. Glad I didn't play hockey in the US.
