and this is why i don't want modano. Tired of seeing the wings lose young players to sign some 40 year old. Not saying modano would be bad but for just one year and to lose 2 solid young players over him is not worth it IMO. I still say some team out there will offer him 2M and he won't sign with the wings. At least it seems thats what he's holding out for since the wings were the only team to offer him and if he really wanted to be a wing he would have signed.

i do recall an article with kenny stating he would try to sign and enforcer or trade for one. With rittola/eaves and miller lying around there are definitely some assets here that could fetch something in a trade. with the ridiculous amount of money being given out to 4th liners I could see the trade route being a possibility.

I would be very happy with a bertuzzi/abdelkader/cleary third line. Abby needs to be given a chance and he has underrated offensive potential. our top six would still be very good and that third line could score and cause some havoc.
