if meech hit or fight or was good at something like PK or PP he would be useful, but unfortunately he is useless.... -

I wonder if kenny can convince OKT to come back to detroit to be the 6th d man and let him try to prove himself. OKT is probably just as good as option as anyone on the market that isn't out of the wings price range. -
From Bob McKenzie: "- The Wings took Riley Sheahan at 21. There's a big question on whether Sheahan stays at Notre Dame or goes to the OHL. Detroit is a patient team and that may work in Notre Dame's favour. That said, the Wings like skilled, attacking hockey and the school doesn't play that style. Sheahan's OHL rights belong to Erie, so maybe a trade is in order? We'll see." http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=325965

not for under 1M

ericsson needs to realize he is huge. Lots of potential for him so he gets my vote.
-
boogaard will be a wing. Kenny has said he wants and enforcer wether he signs for one or trades for one. Boogey and pavs are buddies and he trains with pav in russia in the summers. I can pretty much garuntee big # 24 will be patrolling the ice at the joe this coming season and I cannot wait.
-
Either that or he starts in Toledo to work his way up to GR. I think this guy only make the show as one thing. Arch is 6-3, so if he adds 25-30 lbs he could be a legit heavy. I also like the strategy of drafting what kenny deems is the BPA then signing the tough guys of the scrap heap and try to develop them in the wings system.
-
so the "arch" villian is 20, is he eligible for GR this upcoming season??
-
yeah my dad tried to get me to be a leafs fan and It didn't work lol My parents took me to a wings game when I was about 6-7 years old, i think it was 92 or 93 but I remember steve yzerman being my favorite player and I have worshiped him and the wings ever since.

Red Wings Opening Negotiations to Extend Babcock's Contract

babs is the closest thing to scotty as you can get so this is great news -
diggin this pick too man, could develop into a chris gratton type of player. Love the fact he is willing to sacrifice his body also. Very solid pick for the third round.
-
not going to get excited until this kid can proves he can stay healthy, but if he can they sky is the limit
-
if he can stay healthy this pick will be a homerun
-
could be a reality depending on how the RFA's work out although im sure abby and helm are 100% going to be on the wings next season. Who knows about miller and eaves and if rittola is even in the plans. Meech will be a goner either way.
-
maybe kenny's plan is to sign winchester and boogaard
-
lol just because they are drafted as a center doesn't mean they will be one as a pro
-
I meant perry and getzlaf would think twice about trying to pull s*** with our stars like running them or trying to fight them with boogaard around.
-
starts at 1ET and it will go alot quicker than 1st round
-
good god I am grinning from ear to ear of the thought of big # 24 even being considered. I'm just trying to imagine it now lol Boogey actually is a pretty damn good skater for a big man and could probably play a solid 6-8 mins a night. Wouldn't mind having him at all if we go the enforcer route. Add that gritty 6th d man to the mix and the wings just got a whole lot tougher IMO. who's going try to pull any crap against our stars with the boogie monster lurking " cough, perry and getzlaf, cough"
-
that may be one of the dumbest things I have ever read on here.

wings maybe interested in boogaard????? • If Wild enforcer Derek Boogaard leaves as a free agent, the Detroit Red Wings may be interested. Red Wings GM Ken Holland said he wants to sign an enforcer, and star Pavel Datsyuk said he'd like it to be Boogaard. Boogaard will train with Datsyuk for a second consecutive summer in Russia. Boogaard is currently training in Santa Monica by boxing. http://www.startribune.com/sports/wild/97207774.html?page=2&c=y
