Trade Cleary and Abdelkader for Clowe and sign him to an extension. SJ gets PK help and Wings get the big gritty power forward they so desperately need. But the question is, would the Wings and SJ ever do a trade together? Iginla is interesting but i'd rather wait a year until he hits FA and will hopefully sign a bargain deal for a shot at the cup if the Wings are in that position.

Good thing no one in Canada cares about this tournament.

AM980 London @AM980News [THIS JUST IN] Dale Hunter has resigned as Washington Capitals head coach; will reportedly be on bench with Knights at Mem. Cup #ldnont #fb So Hunter stepped down as the Caps coach to return to London and take care of business. A bit surprised but not really. Surprised at the fact that he turned the Caps season around and got them to game 7 of the second round. However, the team that he owns and has coached the past 10-11 years is in the Memorial Cup so i'm not surprised he returned.

Huge London Knight connection in this series, maybe Hunter will be able to find a way to exploit his former players. Caps in 7 -

Dales got the boys going good, guy is going to be a great NHL coach. I think I am actually pulling for the Caps now, hope Ovie gets his cup so all the Crosby lovers can eat man sausage. -
Stall would be great but I highly doubt it would ever happen. However, a more realistic option could be Brandon Dubinsky, and if the Rangers can't finish off the Sens maybe they will make some changes.

Interesting thoughts from an article by Elliot Freidman: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/opinion/2012/04/luongo-trade-talk-30-thoughts.html Also some tidbits about Lidstrom in there as well. I have thought this for a while but I would like to see Filppula packaged with some pieces for that power forward we so desperately need. Question is, what power forwards are available other than Nash?

Luongo will waive his no trade clause if asked, he is as good as gone: Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Luongo says he would waive his no-trade clause if the team asked. "It's about this group". Retweeted by Bob McKenzie

It is a bit risky but I just find it hard to believe Holland will be able to land both. With Lidstrom possibly retiring Suter should be priority #1. Going to be interesting to see how Holland plays his cards. It is also possible that Anaheim may only be able to keep one of Perry and Getzlaff, also Crosby will get a monster deal from the Pens and Stall will be getting a raise, Pittsburgh may not be able to afford him. There are also many others in 2013 who are good as well but maybe not Parise caliber. One thing I am waiting to see play out is in the new CBA there may be an amnesty buyout. Basically you buy a guy out and it doesn't count against the cap, I really, really, hope this happens so Holland can get rid of a terrible contract.
-
Looking at the 2013 UFA list Kenny needs to do the smart thing and forget about Parise and focus on Suter and hope guys like Nyquist and Tatar can step up and contribute on offense next season. I'd rather wait it out and go after Getzlaf and or Perry, Jordan Stall, Nathan Horton and many other good players.

Brunstrom is almost as terrible of skater as Leino. He will never be able to stick in the NHL.
-
Burke will do everything in his power to get Luongo.

Chris Mason would be an excellent backup to push Howard. Wish List: Parise Suter Prust/Moen/Campbell Konopka Carkner
