anyone else think kronwall is "resting" his knee for the olympics? I would sure hope not. This day to day stuff is BS either he's injured or he's not. I thought he was getting a new brace then would be ready to play? as far as franzen playing in the olympics it is a double edge sword. He plays and get going and back in game shape, but there is always the risk of injury, especially with the playoff type atmosphere the Olympics can have.....

love how ppl are calling carter classless for finishing a check. He already had samenela lined up for the hit before the puck was even in the net. It just so happens the puck went in just as they made contact carter is know to make these hits from time to time and as our own mickey redmond says, you have to be aware of who is on the ice. If that was kronwall who made that hit people would be creaming themselves over it yeah he hit im in his blind spot, but still a clean hit. It's one of those grey area's that the NHL needs to address in the future to if it's legal to hit a guy like that when he's vulnerable.

good point, last thing wings need is for someone to claim tolly on re-entry waivers have to pay for some of that remaining 600K contract... Last things the wings need is to have salary go up with all these people coming back lol tolly still an upgrade over meech IMO

so if tolly clears, and goes to GR and lilja is not ready, does tolly have to go through re-entry waivers and could get claimed if he gets called up? i'd really like to see this guy get a chance. He could be a tougher version of lilja

How hard is this for people to understand. Lieno is an awful, awful, awful skater. It has nothing to do with his "skill" or "potential". The fact of the matter is that until leino drastically improves the fundamentals of skating he will never be an NHL player. He might be able to get away with it over in Europe, but not in the NHL and it has been exposed.

am i the only one who thinks tolly is a good 6th, 7th d guy? he is already an upgrade over meech or lebda and who knows if lilja will ever be the same again. Good insurance policy IMO tollefsen is still young too so he could still improve. I dunno, I've always liked his game and he was solid for columbus, always noticed him when the wings were playing them cause he likes to run around and mix it up

love this. tollefesen is an absolute beast, even if he is on the receiving end of most fights

any lineup changes? i know you don't want to mess with chemistry but may should be in for maltby against the ducks IMO
