Cleary's the exception, not the rule. The Wings will sign somebody if/when its necessary. If the brain trust feels we need someone before camp, they'll get it done. Despite media reports outside of Michigan, there's still a ton of players who would LOVE to play in Wings organization. As fans, we need to realize that we may not see another signing until Abdelkader, Helm, or Leino play themselves off this team, or trade deadline time. On paper, our team is just as good as 2008, better IMHO.

Arron Asham, egh, don't care either way. Looks like we could definately upgrade an already spectacular blue line next summer with all those names out there. Don't really see and big names forwards that fit the Wings system.

My friend and I are building a cup replica. We're welding an empty 55gal drum to an empty 15gal drum, painting it chrome and etching it. We're looking for some kind of cheap bowl to use as the original Lord Stanley's Cup to sit on top. Can you guys post here if you see anything out there? We're just trying to get this done by the time the finals start. The bowl doesn't have to be silver, cheaper the better, and at least 20" diameter. If everyone can keep their eyes open I'd appreciate it!

I, for one, am actually excited to see this. The Stars were an elite team last season and, even though injuries, mismanagment and Turco derailed their playoff hopes this year, I expect them to be competitive in 2010. That being said: Detroit already has a rivalry with Crawford (wherever he goes) and this move by Dallas can only strengthen our budding rivalry we started in 2008 with a good Stars team.

The only statement I took exception to is the one I quoted above. Crosby's dive is equally, if not more, ridiculous than any example you've given. You said it had been a long time since you had seen something that ridiculous. Your idea of a long time must differ from my own. EDIT: If you can't agree that a week is not a long time, surely you can agree that Crosby's dive was the most ridiculous thing you've seen since game 3....Baby steps.

...... I refuse to give the Pens any credit other than their game 4 win. In my opinion, the Wings have given the Pens 2 games. Bounces have gone both ways, calls have gone both ways, but one thing stays consistent: The Pens cannot hang with the Wings when they decide to play. I doubt the Wings will let Friday's game slip away, but if they do, its only a place holder for the Wings again in 2010.

A win is a win. Pens could have won 18-3 last night and it wouldn't make a lick of difference today. The teams are comming to Detroit, knotted-up 3-3, to play for all the marbles. I don't care as long as Babs moves Franzen back with Fillpula and Hossa. This line was killer against the Ducks until they had to split it up for defense.

Yeah, we've noticed that too. Actually, during the first couple series this year, the Wings only won when the Tigers lost, I believe the streak was broken during the end of the anaheim series.
