I've heard that a lot of those arenas have mic's pointing to the crowd then its played over the loudspeaker so it seems WAY louder than it actually is, I know they said the oilers did it against us in the playoffs, maybe nashville does it too? Do we do it? jw

Honestly I have been a fan of making Ozzie the starter all year...not bashing Hasek or anything but if Ozzie is playing better why not? EVERY team in EVERY league should have total confidence in their goaltender, when players devote their mind to worrying wether or not the goalie is going to stop every shot that that comes his way or protect a lead that they worked hard to build, then the players cant focus on their own job, forwards and defense alike. I'm just a fan and i have no faith in hasek, I cant imagine how the actual players feel, And if Hasek throws a temper tantrum because he isnt starting(I dont know if that is true or not but if it is it CANT be good for the team)then bring up howard if nothing else than just to back up Ozzie... Take it however you like, thats my opinion.

Yeah I dont think Wsh. is gunna win this series, Philly has them completley figured out, the Washington forwards cant get good shooting opportunities, only low percentage perimiter shots, If the caps want to win AO has to influence it in some way, If Philly shuts him down(like they are doing now) the caps are done...

Yeah i've watched all the games in this series, its definitely action packed(dont let the 2-0 score in game 2 fool you), the crowds have been into it, lots of physical play... I've been pullin for Washington though... just cause everyone loves the cinderella story I think, I gotta say Ovechkin has been a non-factor the past 2 games...

Thats what i'm sayin, we win as a team and we loose as a team, but one person can blow a game...so lets excuse lilja for making a mistake, hasek has got to be there to back him up, letting in soft goals is inexcusable especially in the playoffs...Besides, during the season, how many games did hasek play consistantly before he started letting in softies? Hasek and osgood always split the time this season and even still hasek was mediocre(yes he had flashes of briliance but thats it). Give ozzie a shot. I'm not bashing hasek by any means, but why should he be expected to be a standout, load carrying goaltender now when he hasnt had to/couldnt be during the season?

Word...I think this game is gunna be a true test of hard work and determination and I would not be suprised to see nashville steal a W tonight(not to be a naysayer). I dont want it to seem like im voting for lebda to play and lilja to sit...i want to see ericcson in the playoffs and i would like him to see him replace lilja...unless of course ericcson cant hack it, then by all means sit his ass. I was saying if i had to choose between lilja and lebda i like lebda...

True and I agree with you... but flying into the offensive zone and dumping it in is still a good offensive play no? It gets the puck out of our zone and puts pressure on they're defence...barring an odd man rush the other way I see no problem with that...

I see your point and excuse my logic BUT...lilja continues to make those crucial mistakes, hits and blocked shots dont matter when u give the puck up with no one around you in front of your goalie in OT...granted, ericcson might do that too, but he has to be in that position before we know how he will preform...like i said, let him play and if he f**** it up then sit him. there is only one way to get experiance and in the first few games in the first round we can afford an untimley mistake or two...i think its safe to say lilja has reached his peak, ericcson still has upside...I say let the yougster have a chance... Also not to call you out or anything but that Game 5 f$%^ up was huge, his great play leading up to that point is null and void as far as im concerned...

I'm not quite sure the defensive pairings or even who is in the lineup but i think they should both sit (oviously thats not gunna happen) and let Ericcson have a shot... IMO he's played just as good if not better than lebda and lilja anyhow. If he chokes then bring up one of the others. I dont like how both lilja and lebda give the puck up in our def. zone but if i had to choose one I'd sit lilja and play lebda...speed kills, lebda is more apt to join a rush or take it himself IMO...At least he has the offensive ability to make up for his defensive inability...but wut do I know
