I don't think it is the ref's fualt he made a bad call, awful call. My complaint is not some blind duesch tool, but that the NHL does not have some kind action for this. The can review a goal to see if it is no good but they can't review a no goal call to see if it was a goal. That is what is crappy about the game, an average fan would not understand why that goal was taken away. Hell I am an avid fan and I have no idea besides that the ref's hate Homer...

I definitly don't doubt we will win and probably would have been more comfortable if Hasek would have played tonight but that is the silliest reason ever.

yes your very right, Yzerman was a career man here and that is what I think is clouding your sight. Yzerman is the greatest thing the team has ever had, but in those seven years before feds got here how succesful were the wings? Feds was detrimental to the wings success and championships and at that time was equally important as Yzerman or Lids. Slim possibilty the same could have been achieved without him.

i don't see how you cannot. I am not saying that Yzerman is less important or that Feds has an importance far more then Stevie. Look back to that time and you would have seen as many Federov jersey's then Stevie. If you think that he is not almost as important then your crazy! lol.

I don't see why his number should not get retired as he was a very important reason we won the cup back-to-back and was pivitol in bringing the organization to a succesful team. I would dare to say he was almost equally important to the team at that time as Yzerman. Myself, don't really care for him, but that being said I was not as deep a fan back then as I am now. I don't agree he should come back but as we know about Feds... If money talks.

I don't think that is a bad idea... I don't think downey is crap, I just don't think he is an enforcer, energy sure. I agree Downey over Drake any day of the week. My arguement is more that Mac was not an enforcer. There is just so much doubt about Mac, I try to stay positive. The last time Downey played in the AHL was last season.

Mac not an enforcer? Really? He was enough of an enforcer that the Detroit Free Press put him number 3 in Detroit's all time top five enforcers. Wow! That is pretty good for somebody not being an enforcer. Also the key to probably the most monumental battle in the History of our Franchise. Downey over Mac. Mac at his worst is equal to what Downey brings to the table. Sure the guy gets into some scraps but gets tossed around like a rag doll. I don't think he has ever won a fight in our jersey. I definitly think it cannot hurt to sign some depth we have the cap space and if we did not spend to limit then, as fans, we should be pissed. That to me says that the brass doesn't care to much. I would be irrate if the Wings signed him to anything high. Mainly anything over 2 mil for him. Like you I am very fond of incentive based contracts. I think alot more players should be like this. I am not the guy who wants Forskin here, but I do like the Idea of not tapping into the petting zoo for someone. But guys I don't think it is that he does not want to play for Detroit becuase it is one time rival. I don't think that Detroit wanted to pay him the rumoured $5,000,000 per for 2-3 years...
