Tonight I had a very lengthy conversation with my best friend and avid supporter of Dom and I have been up until tonight. I am not saying I don't support Dom but I do support winning. In our conversation he was saying how crappy it is that Dom will not get the start on Thursday. I tried to explain that I would prefer Ozzy in net against the Lightning and Vinny, becuase well, he is winning. His arguement was that Dom's last start minus the lose was better then Ozzy's in the last two. So we argued and I said it was ONE start. He still let in weak goals, which Ozzy does too. The differance in the two is Oz is making the clutch saves that results in wins and Dom is not which results in a big L. The conversation went on and I won't go into detail but it turned into an arguement which resulted in me being hinted as not being as "knowledgable" about goalies. Which ofcourse I disagreed with and said that he is clearly being blinded by Dom Love and not knowledge. His arguement was that Dom's resume' should earn him the number one job. I said that it did. If I were to get hired by a company becuase I had a beautiful resume is good, but if I come to the job and don't live up to what my resume reads then I should not keep my job or at least be put on probation until my performance warrants. The bottom line is stats and achievements of the past do not excuse poor performance now. They are in the past and I am not willing to lose games due to past achievments. I am not opposing Dom. He should get his chance but we need to pick and choose when and where that is. As I told my friend, I am a Detroit Red Wings fan. I am a fan of my team winning. I chose my team over one player. I was so outspoken becuase the way everyone wantged Dom's head, which I do not agree with. I was also supporting my friend. I do not have a favorite between Oz and Dom. My favorite goalie in the past is Legacy, which still is my favorite. I could careless who starts. I JUST WANT TO WIN. The differance, W/L and clutch saves. I don't need to put up there records to show who it favors. I have faith Dom will rebound, but if he does not, as long as the TEAM is winning is what is important.

I watched a bit of the Ducks/Nucks game last night. I am not sure if this is Bert's first game back but I know he has not had more then two. He looked like complete garbage, he would not "D" up on Naslund and it cuased at lest one goal. His motivation the whole game was lackluster at best. I am even more happy we did not resign him. I am really happy Burke is locked up with him for two season's at 4 mil each. Just my thoughts....

Wait that leading GAA and SV% for the entire season like Brodeur last year. And the same commentators that said Detroit was done in the first round of the playoff's last year? I am just checking man. I am with you, I get it. We have some cuase for concern. Keep in mind that also the best goalies in the league are getting romped right now. LeClaire is also up there in SV% will you trust him to go take you to the SCF?

He is anyone the slightest bit concerned??? I mean Dom is playing very bad and while Ozzy is winning he is eldom letting in less then three goals and only twice he let in less then two. Ozzy is playing well but his offense is saving him in alot of situations. I am just saying that I am a bit nervous at this point to trust either goalie to get us through the playoff's. Hell is it possible we need to be looking at a netminder come the deadline. Oh and just for the record... Both my goaltenders are my favorite. I get into this silly arguements with people that seem just a bit close minded and extreme band-wagon jumpers. I really don't want to oust Ozzy.

Why would he tandem with Ozzy? If Ozzy is so good like everyone thinks, he will not even need a back-up! Hell he could go all 82 starts! And win them all... If the boys can score 4 or more. That being said I would be more comfortable with Brzy!

It was a good game. I am not going to bash at all just say that it is yet another game from Ozzy where he let in 2-3 goals. Good thing the offense was on. I quit the war from Ozzy and Dom and just go with the fact that both goalies need improvement. Unless our offense operates with high success every game. I love Dom, I love Ozzy but if this is the performance we can expect then looks like we may need to buy a goalie at the trade deadline.

All I can say, Calgary Fan, Is HOMER. The guy gets hosed more then anyone. He gets called for goalie interferance five feet away from the goalie. I also was at the game and there was some stupid calls. A trip in the first that was awful. But that is bettman hockey.

It is still an awsome thing to me that whenever someone is "out-witted" on the computer they always resort to you live in your mom's basement and you have an online girlfriend. The fact is you sound like a 12 year old boy that gets picked on in gym class becuase his whitey tighties have tread marks and your here to join a club to make yourself fell like you have friends. Really you might be 25 and sucessful, but this is what you sound like. All of which makes no differance. All you can say is numbers this and numbers that. All the Dom fans can say is numbers this and numbers that. The only fact that remains true is that all of these numbers are in the past. Each and every player is only as good as their last performance. I have a feeling that I will not be the one eating crow. Oh and I am not wating either. I am waiting though. Wait. Was Mike Tyson's last fight fixed? Thus leading into an arguement that alot of his fights may have been. Again, your a tool. And really Ms. Cleo do you really KNOW that Ozzy would have drawn to a shootout? Maybe he would of had a shutout, maybe he would have been destroyed. The fact is you don't know what he would have done. Even if Ozzy would have went to a shootout he would have let in all three goals.

First of all I would like to note that you were on Hasek after just a bad performance and his team not performing well. How, EZ Bake oven, did you figure out that he has 70% save percentage when he has a .864 save percentage which would equate to a 86%! So math class would be great. Ofcourse I needed my friends help to verify. Ofcourse Ozzy is playing better he has had alot more starts. Dom is a better goalie, that fact has been proven time and time again. Ozzy is a splendid goalie. I love him. I am all about the detroit tandem. I am not all about people being tools. Oh and the game went to a shootout, not a shut out. If it did then I don't think it would have been a SHOOTout.

I absolutely love in LGW that Dom has a bad game and you want to send him to the gallow's. Ozzy has an awful game and everyone is saying, "nice try, oz, you had a good game"! How does Ozzy have a good game. He let in two goals. One of which was a complete joke! Should have never went in the net! If that did not even happen he let in ALL THREE SHOOTOUT GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really how does that define a good game? All three penalty shots were decent but nothing impossible to stop, he cannot let in all three and still be considered for a good performance. I am offiacally anouncing the Oust Ozzy Organization.

Since the team seems to play better when OZZY is in net, I perdict a win. BJ's have strong offense and looking at a high scoring game. I wish Dom was in net, they should have kept rolling with him. He seemed to be getting back on his game against Nashville. Redwings 24- Zetterberg with 20 and Ozzy with 4 (since he seems so perfect to everyone) Columbus 22- We all remember that Ozzy is a mediocre goalie with some good games

Wow? Really? I don't think Dom could have played to much better in the playoffs last year. I question your knowledge anyhow as soon as you said you only watched half the season. I am sure you are under the lake effects of Ozzy's recent play. I don't disagree that Ozzy is good but saying that Hasek was bad THE HALF of the season you watched last year is just crazy! Your fired, "gangsta"!

I have to say for the BOOST to come in and start a negative Dom thread that means the panic button is on for the Dominator. Now I am officially worried boost! Now I get it guys, he is playing awful right now. Hell I think he looks the worst in net in the entire league, maybe not the entire league but he is the worse looking goalie in the Central division. So per the norm Puckloo I agree 100% with your post. I want the winner in net BUT without sacrificing any chance of getting Dom back on the horse. There is no need to banish him, he has to play to improve but I don't think he is our number 1 guy though. Always! Love both my goalies. Oh and boost, no more crazy talk about Bryz

Nice post. I have to ask what is the team building excercise they did at Ft Campbell. I used to be stationed there and spent the larger and better part of my career there, wondering if I did what they did before. That is really cool. Unfortunately there is not to many hockey fans in the Army. Man, I used to love going down Nashville. I am a recruiter now in Michigan and I actually almost put in Legwand's cousin... Or so he said. I believed him becuase he described Nashville and Legs house pretty well. I hope that there is still some energy left and I think the preds will turn it around, just not this season. They have alot of work in the off-season. Good luck. Oh and PREDS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lke your idea. I don't think it reall takes the brass to make that decision. We can just start a differant thread for the predictions... I think the main reason Huds was dropped to line 4 was to give him a kick in the butt. In my opinion he has been almost non existant thus far. Kope has really been moving the puck well and raised some eyebrows last game, he is not top 6 material though. I think we should rally behind Dom tonight to get his game on....

True i noticed that last game. It was rough. I checked the chat room 4 times but no one was there.

I think that is more focused on the threads that just say: GOAL or Yahoo or Dom stinks. Predictions have always been in the GDT. Just my thought.
