I hate to bring it up again but I have to ***** a little. I just went to his site and for the forth day in a row I have to read through a bunch of bulls*** about his effin dog just to find at the end that he says he "has" some crazy updates but he will post them later. You stupid assbag post5 them now. Does he think that noone else goes through hardships. I hate him. I have defended him over and over for no damn reason but to make myself feel better for spending $20. I am offially banning hockeybuzz.
-
I am one of the stupid people that have paid for his site. I have been a hockey fan for a long while but really just got into the whole internet thing recently. As you can see I just joined this site this year and found out about hockeybuzz before this. I have paid for a couple sites. Hockeybuzz being the biggest let down. I was intriged by the "insider" rumors, which I have never recieved. You get a rumor chart that is awful and only his speculation on things. The chat room is where you find the latest "rumors" after everyone else becuase he always blogs it first. I knew he was full of s*** when he got less right on his UFA fantasy game then me and I had 2 right. If all you want is some cool hockey speculation it is not a bad site but ***DO NOT PAY FOR IT*** there is absolutely no reason to. Although I support here with little incentive it is becuase I love the site and hope that it maintains it's level. I supported here by wanting to contribute to the awsome job, not becuase I got sucked in by "rumor charts" and "insider info".

Would it be safe to say that no players in the NHL fight regularly anymore? I

I definitly have to disagree with Shanny. I think he proved beyond a shadow of a doubt last year that he can hold his own and he definitly is not on a decline. Maybe he is steady but a decline... While I agree if we could have changed the world on Vladdy it would have made a differance but to say 3 more cups? That would mean the wings would have won 6 out of the last 10... Vladdy and Fisch for sure. They are the only ones that did not chose to leave the Red Wings. All of the others left on there terms. Besides Mac but I don't think his name even belongs on this list.
-
Realisticlly he is only 38. Here in Detroit we are spoiled seeing players stay until they are older. He is effective. Would I take him on Detroit, in a second. I would sacrifice all of our cap money to do so. It is extremely unrealistic that he will though. I don't know why he would not play in the East but there are plenty of teams that are SCF potentials. I am sure he will play and we probably will not sign him.
-
I would like to see him in a winged wheel, barring that he acts how he did last year. Maybe there is more to the story on how Avery acted in the locker room in NY. I don't think he is worth the $4,000,000 that he will more then likely get. Do not forget that the NYI are also interested in him and if they will pay Fedastinko a ton, they surely do the same considering the amount of cap space they have. I say. F> Avery F> Forsberg Don't sign any more unless it is Teemu...
-
I agree Andrew Predator. I am happy with the Wings' lineup. I would like a top 6 forward but who wouldn't. I would sacrifice our left over space for Teemu. Although I think that is unrealistic. I am very excited for Johan this season as well as Cleary and some others.

Management practically admits offseason mistakes?

I really like that you insult me while making yourself sound like a redneck idiot dropping all those grown up words and such. Your mom has to be so proud. Really I did not say one time that losing these players did not make them less talented, I said your wrong by saying they "suck' becuase hey lost them. Really what knowledge did you drop that schooled me? You said nothing that made your post even slightly intelligent, hockey related or just at all. Your an idiot, learn me some hockey fan since 86'. Definitly don't tell people since before you were born when you have no idea when that would be. Again makes you sound stupid. Tell me what Tomas Vokoun has done that makes him so great? Really, I am suprised though that your antenna can even pick up Center Ice from your trailer park. Crazy.

I don't have anything to say to that. Someone explain this logic to me please??? -
Really dude I was all about you stating your point, I was just disagreeing but now I got a point. There is a differance in between watching hockey and understanding it. There is nothing wrong with either, hell we need all the fans we ca get in the NHL. I will tell you about my "delusions of granger" and show you that you could learn more as we all could about the sport. Okay the first name you mentioned Hartnell is a third liner!!! So your team does not take a huge hit losing a third liner. Next Timonen, well a good defender but the money he was given I would have dumped his ass too. Do not forget about the youthful D they have, hell the Youthful team they have. They have good depth. Next Forsberg... Seriously your gonna count him as a loss? He barely played and when he did he did not do much. Vokoun... I understand that with the lack of knowledge about Chris Mason you have you could think losing Vokoun was a big deal. Vokoun is a good goalie that never performed in the playoff's. Not once. Mason is great. Had a great season and definitly deserves a shot as a started since he did start for a couple months last year while Koun was injured. Lest not forget that the biggest impact they lost you failed to mention was Kariya considering he lead the team in points for two seasons!!! Seriously don't get center ice just becuase it is cool to tell friends you have it watch the games, understand the players then start stating dumbass comments about delusions of granger. Do a little research.

The Rangers will not be able to re-sign him. So he is an option. I am torn and with an good season last year as a pivitol part of the Rangers team he will get a bit of a pay raise. Some will pay him, we have learned that this year. I would love to have him back but only at the right price. I would say 2.5 mil is good and I think some team will give him 4 mil. He would make a great addition although there are rumors of him being a disease in the locker room. I know he is a lot of energy and grit and he brings hype with him and is a crowd pleaser. I would love to see him in the Wheel but I think it is unlikely... My bet he does not sign with us but he could fall into the squeez. Don't forget also the flip side of this years signings being so high is now the bargin bin players are being picked up. It is gonna be tough for guys like Avery to get big money and he might be caught in the squeez and may not get signed until just before camp by anyone. Fingers are crossed. Dammit ya'll got me hyped about him now...

Well there is the differance of educated hockey fans and down right Detroit fans. I think you will find his readings good. I don't think the preds are downhill. They will still have a good team this year. I see where your coming from thinking that this being a Red Wings forum that only wings fan should post, but that is a bit close minded. All hockey is great. Though I disagree with your input or why if you could care so little why you would even post anything. I think you will definitly find that you do not speak for the majority of anyone in the forums. Almost everyone in the forums are extremely well educated hockey fans and encourage other views, opinions and stories.

I think the biggest problem here is that some people don't see the big picture. You have to look past the name on the back of jersey and understand a salary cap, greed, and space. We have to stop looking at this as a name game and realize Broke Back Bertuzzi went for 4 million a year!!! That is way to much to pay for a risk. Now Anaheim jumped the gun not knowing if Saleanne (spelling) is actually retired. The teams that made these big signings either did not have a good team or are going to be forced to dump. I understand being frustrated not getting a huge signing, not having a huge name. Unless ofcourse Z, Dats, Lids, and Hasek are considered to be big names? This is by no means a admittance to anything. Really Kenny hears this s*** every year, he does alright and I don't think he loses sleep. -
Everytime I read something on the Kid I think of Yzerman. I say man that was really Yzermany or man that dude is like the Captian. He is my favorite player outside of the wings becuase of that.
-
Oh Kenny, poor Kenny. I would rather say poor people. That fact is Kenny did not do what he said he would LIKE to do. He said he wanted to retain 2 DM 2 FW and 1 G. He got a Goalie and a D-man. The big picture part of this is the UFA and as of today the RFA markets. It is unreasonable. Broke Back Bert for 4 Mil per? Lang 4 mil per? All the others. Hell we over paid for Rafalski but we had to do to the market. We probably got him at a discount. KENNY signed a top 3 goaltender, a 6 million dollar goaltender for just over $2,000,000 and some incentives. Seriously and Kenny is bad? That is incerdible. 2 mil for Hasek and the way he played last season!!!! Tell me one team in history that has signed one big UFA to a team and it made all the differance in the season. I can and only one team. The Ducks. Will Colorado win cuase they grossly overpaid for Smyth, doubtful. Will St Louis be a better team becuase of Thak, Kariya and Legace manning the post? Seriously. Let the garbage teams have to "top-six" players and do nothing with them. It will only take this season to realize that for these players to have a real chance at winning they will have to take a pay cut. GREAT F'N JOB KENNY!!!!!!!

I think everyone is a little hard on Eklund. If you think you are going to visit his site and find that everything he says is fact then your barking up the wrong tree. His site is a rumor site, he gives rumor's. If your into rumors his site is great. He has had some crap but it is what he hears and he tells. It is all about speculation, if you want facts stick to www.tsn.ca. Some of his sources may be the janitor others may be a GM. I know he has broke some pretty good rumors, and he has failed some to. I enjoy his site soley on the excitment of the what if's. I wasn't sold on him when I first went to the site, then when I got the format down it was great. Alot of knowledgable hockey fans and a very active chat room. It is cool. Thats just me though. Some of you think he's an ass bag. While that may or may not be true. He is an ass bag with a way cooler job then me!!!!!
-
Oh. The idea is great. The reality is disaster. I hope Kenny does not even entertain the premise of McCarty coming back. Sorry, Mac, but I think he won't even get picked up this year. Beautiful. Absolutely on point!!!! It sure is a shame they could not give you the job that Kenny has. I mean I know you could've brought home all the successful seasons. If a GM were to listen to the fans to much, he would be watching with the fans. You can call me a Kenny A** kiss but I would have been bitching and moaning had he signed these players at the price tags the carried. Are you serious? Where does one of the players already signed fit into Detroit carrying the price tag they recieved. Thanks Kenny for not getting sucked into all that crap. If he had we may not have Hasek...
-
Wait, wait, wait. A top six forward over Hasek. Hasek signed for 2 mil, possibly 4 after bonuses. 2 mil out of this salary cap. Have you seen what other players are going for. Hasek once again is the deal of the year. He played like better then that goalie we paid 8 mil a few years back. Look at these contracts being signed. If we would have entertained one of those signings we would screw Zetterberg out of a job in 2 years, and I am all about keeping Z-man for life. Look at the teams that signed all the players. St Louis signed Kariya and Tkachuk, over paid severly for both. They still have Manny in net and a lack of defense. So the completed one line 75%??? Colorado added Smyth, Hannan, and a couple minors over paying for each. Who is in ther net? I could go on and on. Realisticly the only team that beat us in the West is the Ducks. They signed Bert, Schnieder and Gigs, Keep in mind what they are losing. Salami Pastrami and Neids. That is a huge hit. HUGE. Yes I would have loved to resign Broke Back Bert but seriously 4 MILLION a year. F' that.
-
Booster thanks for answering my calls. Alright. HAPPY DAYS! Welcome back Dom. I would have had rather have Raycroft...... *barf*
-
He got a 2 year 8 mil. Good ridance he is not worth $4mil a year!!! KENNY. I believe but your making it hard!
-
The day is over and I have sat in hockeybuzz.com and spectors and tsn.ca. My eyes are tired and my fingers hurt. Stupid chat rooms. We have signed Rafalski which is a good thing but the price tag is hefty. Hasek remains unsigned, is it possible he is entertaining other offers? Absolutley no news on Bert. I think he will be on another's ice next season. Schnieder is gone, to the ducks? Seriously? Why the ducks? Smyth is in Colorado. They will probably build the whole team around him and maybe bring back some of the old which could pump a bit of life into the dead team and possibly resurface a rivalry. What are the Detroit Red Wings doing. Should we be nervous? Is there fear that should be felt? I don't think so. I am confident Hasek signs. In all the madness don't forget who we have on our team. Henrik, Pavel, Homer, Lids, Raf, Cheli and a whole bunch more. We will be okay. Holland will make a couple key moves and we will be great. Don't be to sad. We have a whole summer to fix the bench... Thoughts?
-
I disagree with you. You do build your team around a vet. The ducks built there team around Neidermyer this last season. It seemed to work. It doesn't matter since Kariya signed with St. Louis. Hasek going some where else I don't think is going to happen either but it is fair to speculate. I can assure you he is at least getting offers...
-
He will go to Colorado. www.tsn.ca

I definitly still want him, but I am not afraid to lose him.
