Mr. Singleton, I agree with you. I don't think that counting the preds out is the thing to do. I think they will still have a successful team. I am a little doubtful of Mason's skill but I don't know much about him. As far as the rivilry goes. I think we definitly have a rivilry with Nashville and it is by far our biggest one. The fans and the teams don't like one another. I definitly don't want Nashville to move, I would hate to not go down there for my annual road trip and game. We get into crap every year and this past was one I would prefer to forget but other then that it is a great time. The Fan's truly love thier team. I even bought a t-shirt that says save the predators or something I have not recieved it yet. I say support the Preds so we can enjoy beating them time and time again!!!! Sorry I am really distracted..... GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!! Hey and Nashville has alot of spending room and Basille is not getting the team. The person who is next is alot less likely to move them. I started playing less then a year ago. I amm bout to turn 26. I went out and bought new skates and all new gear. Started playing drop-in at Troy. I have not played for like 2 months. I am not very good and I feel like everyone is making fun of me!!!! LMAO!!! I have probably seen some of you up at Troy. I am the soldiers that gets into uniform after the game. I hate the showers there. I am going to start playing again this week. I would like to take some classes and find a adult league that is for beginnners. Are the classes worth the money? Does anyone know if there are leagues for newbs???? We are bout on the smae page!!! Thats awsome!

Thanks. Seriously though. Shannahan did leave with class. He left for the same amount of money, so that means he wasn't money hungry. I don't think he left for the stardom considering that Jagr is over there. He was rumored to say he always wanted to play on broadway. Almost everyone else was gone and he didn't see eye to eye with Babs. (rumored, again) He was great here and I think the fact that he played a significant role in the lifting of 3 Stanely Cups plays a huge role in how we should feel about him. We as detroit fans are pampered with players lik Lids and Stevie staing for the long hull. Almost no other players do that. I bet some of you still hate your ex-girlfriend from middle school fo dumping you for something differant. Who knows maybe he bed down with Babs's wife? Anyhow I hope we meet him in the SFF!!!

I am happy for Shanny. I agree with some of you, I did not really want him back. I would'nt have thrown a fit but he likes New York and I never had a doubt in my mind he would resign with them. You can compare their stats but you have to remember that Lang played for one of the best teams in the NHL and Feds played for one of the worst. I am not so sure everyone "knew" that Hasek was going to make a contribution at the beginning of last season. I think the majority of us had our doubts about his groin. That being said I say leave Feds alone. I believe he left craving the spotlight and could not amount. I don't think he fits in our family here. Although I will not rise in anger if he is. This article makes me want Smyth even more.

Eklund got me... We were traveling down to Nashville the weekend before the deadline. My buddy has serios (spelling) in his car, so everything under the sun besides NHL channel. We needed a fix and fast. I had an air card for my laptop and two phones with internet. It has it would have by the minute updates on his "rumor chart" so I paid. Well the rumor chart is somewhat of a joke. I think currently you can go on and see maybe three names updated in the last week. Others have not changed since May even April. It is crazy; he does have pretty sweet fantasy games. Oh and in the free agency fantasy game he still has Hasek to the Lightning??? Just yesterday I was reading his daily blog and it said I have a really juicy rumor but I cannot confirm so I will tell you later, more to come. Or something along those lines. IF it is a juicy rumor shouldn’t he put it up right away? Isn't that what a rumor is? Is that not what his site is all about? If a rumor was confirmed wouldn't it be a fact? Just my thoughts. So he sucked me in. I am pretty sure he just watches specters page and steals his rumors.

Wow. A luxury tax? Seriously that is there idea. Did anyone know this could also effect golfers as well. Tax the few things that actually make money in this state. Here is an idea stop allowing people to stay on welfare for as long as they need. They must have to have some restrictions there. I understand the drivers responsibility fee as long as it is only used for DUI type incidents. I have to pay them becuase I had to many points on my license. Granholm is an idiot. I hope Lewis gets a job somewhere else to, as a head coach. That would be atleast one team we would not have to worry about making the playoff's. I agree he is not head coach material. Possibly not even asst. coach material. Giving that he did ride on Scotty's coat tails.

I have submitted to get season tickets 2 years ago and my friend like 3 or 4. If it is so bad why have they not called? Does anyone know when they usually call to sell season tickets to people?

I have not always been a fan of Dom. My good friend and Red Wings confidante can attest for that, given our many arguments about the man. Some which actually evolve into us not speaking for a couple of days. Dom earned my respect this last year, first with his signing so cheap and again now, not requiring a big raise. The line about Dom being about winning, got me. Props Dom, I am very happy with this news. ( Note: I am pretty sure Dom is stoked! Considering it was a goal of his to win my respect. )

Hey Guys!!! Eklund here. I am going to point all your speculating to rest with my speculating. Lang will stay with the Wings do to his ability to do something. Just take a look at my rumor chart. Lang Det: 2% Flo 98% Pay $20 and you can see how my chart will keep you posted way before your friends. As long as your friends don't read the paper or go on the internet for 2 weeks! Seriously though, I am not sure why we would keep Lang. A couple of clutch goals? I also think Huds is a bit overrated. Just a bit though. He has talent but he is not the coming....

Las Vegas would be fun. I am not sure if it is going to be drawing in a fan base. You mention Dallas and San Hose as Northern transplants being a key to success. What about the Florida teams? Carolina, Atalanta, and Nashville all known for northern transplants and still not a big success. I am not against Vegas, hell it would be awsome to catch a game when visiting. I wonder if they will have slot machines and tables in the corridor?

I think I would definitely take the opportunity if it came to touch, lift, and kiss the cup. I can see your point that we did not win it but I disagree. I believe as fans we are an extension of the team. Some of us are die hard and live by this sport and our team. Without us to watch then there probably would not be an NHL and the idea behind all sports is the fans. So in that I believe when Detroit brings Lord Stanley back home next year we would all have the right to lift him. Congrats to your team, RW. I hope you enjoy this short lived experiance!

Thank you, Crymson. Without you correcting everyone’s grammar and typing skills on here where would this place be. I was not trying to ridicule anyone, just trying to be humorous. I am sorry that through all the knowledge you gained in typing skills you some how lost your sense of humor. Or maybe you just did not think it was funny! It would not be the first time I said something that may have been funny in my head but when it came, it did not work out so well. Like I said it’s slightly improbable that we will obtain Smyth, if we could why would anyone not want him? To have two bodies in front of the net on two different lines would be fantastic. As we watched from the playoff's when Bert attempted to work the goal it was not very effective.

Monday night I got off early enough to see the pregame and Alanis. I just would like to share my thoughts on this. I have been to the Joe, the Gaylord entertainment Center, and to a pistons and tigers game this year. I have seen the National Anthem sang at all. To watch the Canadians show the upmost respect for the Anthem was enough. Around here you can't even get people to stop talking, walking or selling. Then I was even more impressed to see when she sang the Canadian anthem that EVERYONE was standing, singing and when she held out the mic it was the loudest I have ever heard an Anthem sang. I just seen alot of pride that it seems we as American people lack lately. Also, hockey is everything up there. I love that! Unfortunatly they don't seem to have a winning hockey team.

I disagree with that it only represents a city or state. The National Anthem has been a part of sports history for a very long time. Watch the tigers game on the 14th of June. It is the Army's birthday and they are having a special event for soldiers of the area. I do agree there are signs of patriotism but it is slightly out weighed by negativity lately.

Well I think that will be the worst idea ever. Take away one of the few American pride things we have left. Regardless of who is on the team it is not for them. It is for the Americans and Canadians in the stands that watch, pay, and contribute. I think it is less for the players being paid. It shows honor. Truly it is the only place where you can hear it anymore.

I definitly think obtaining Smyth would be the stupidest move Holland could make. In the highly unlikely event that he will get signed how could Holland or anyone from the wings think that 2 lines worth of front net excellants would be a good idea. How could one team bogart the two best goalie obstructors and deflictors in the league. That would be ludicris. (sarcasm)
